Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 My review of Columbia Travelodge & Suites Northeast Anonymous, Knoxville, TN, 2006-10-29 The Columbia Travelodge was not comfortable, the room had roaches and smelled bad. The room was fairly large, but the mattress on the beds sank in the middle, which made it uncomfortable to sleep. The maid service was excellent and they were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was located in a bad part of town and would not advise anyone to leave the hotel alone. The room did provide a safe which was nice and you enter your own combination. They were restaurants close and a grocery store about 5 miles down the road. Would not recommend family with children to stay at this hotel. Score 1 out of 5 Some rude workers and poorly managed amenities Anonymous, 2006-09-04 Columbia mall with several police walking around due to rough location...I had tried this motel years ago and had poor experiences, however gave it another try... Was not a good decision on my part... The one front desk and housekeeper woman was friendly, but the maintenance man was quite grouchy and rude... The hot-tub was closed one day for several hours due to lose tile around it, even though the loose tile was there at least the whole day before... None of the exersize equipment worked, plus all of the pool tables and air hockey were broken... Not to mention the very ROUGH neighborhood it's located in!!! Which is where gangs and other not go great crowds hang around... This was definately my last visit there!!! Score 1 out of 5 Choose a Different Hotel Kenneth, Portland, OR, 2006-07-30 This hotel is poorly maintained. Our room lacked a properly functioning TV and remote. Two of the lights did not work. There was no drapery pull rod and the drapes looked liked they had not been cleaned for years. The last paint job performed in the bathroom was very slopping. No hand towels or bath mat were provided and one of the washcloths was torn. The room and bathroom were clean. At check-in, the clerk was curt and provided only the most minimal information with virtually no eye contact. The clerk at check-out, however, was very friendly and professional. I would not recommend this hotel to any of my friends.
