Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 This place offers everything.... Rebecca, Durham/Raleigh, NC There are 'boutique' shops as well as upscale outlet malls in the area. There are also several antique malls nearby if you like to poke around. We stayed at this property once before - several years ago, and we were very very happy to see that the property has been excellently maintained. Our room was beautiful. This property has several pools, a lazy river and a large, very well appointed kiddy pool. There is also at least one restaurant that I'm aware of. Plenty of parking, elevators and a well-equipped work-out room are part of the total package. The wireless internet service is also something we look for. The property is also in a convenient location, for us. Near shopping and restaurants, but also away from what we feel is the busiest areas for traffic. We will definitely be back. Score 5 out of 5 My review of Long Bay Resort Anonymous Beach and poolsVery friendly and informative staff. very nice pools and a walk way straight to the beach Score 5 out of 5 Review Cynthia Score 5 out of 5 Nice Hotel James, Charlotte, NC This was all a plesant experience. Outside of that the hotel was clean and quiet. I will defiantly go back again. Score 2 out of 5 O K for quick visit. Anonymous, 2007-03-05 Beach is nice. The hotel was just O K. Carpets are torn in spots. There is no privacy on the balcony and the smoke from neighboring rooms blows over to your balcony and room when the door is open. We only stayed 3 nights and would not have wanted to spend more time than that. There is no privacy because of other buildings placed so close to this one. We had to keep the drapes closed at all times. The hotel charged us and additional $16.50 upon check in. They said it was for the use of the free internet and a cleaning fee.I would not stay there again. We were not able to take advantage of them all in one night but one the least we saved money. This was a last minute getaway, and we were just glad to get an available room, but after arriving, and seeing what a wonderful room it was, it made the difference. We are a middle class family, with very limited vacation funds, so this was like a dream come true, as we dont travel much. We felt like, we were classy and important people even if for only one night!! We are humbled by the opportunity to stay in such a nice hotel/resort, even if it was off season. We were very satisfied with the ammenities, and the chance to let our hair down and relax. Score 5 out of 5 clean and comfortable richard, Greensboro, NC, 2006-09-22 Breakfast buffet is expensive if you are not a big eater.Long Bay Resort is the best hotel I have found in Myrtle Beach. It's not cheap but not overly expensive. Our room was clean and comfortable.I recommend the hotels breakfast buffet if you are a big eater. There were plenty of pools to chose from and the kids there were having a great time. The way the parking deck is set up we were able to park very close to our room even though we were on the third floor.
