The staff was warm, friendly, and accommodating! They knew who we were and remembered our personal likes and wanted to ensure that we were well taken care of. The hotel offered a very nice continental breakfast as part of the package, as well as tea time, and wine and cheese in the late afternoon. The room was beautifully decorated, clean and peaceful. The bathroom was a good size with lots of towels and toiletries. The hotel was well situated in Charleston fronting the harbour and a block from the city center with excellent restaurants and shops in walking distance. The valey parking was affordable and efficient. Staying at the Harbour View Hotel was a memorable experience and should we be in Charleston again we would stay there. Anonymous, Nashville, TN, 2006-06-08 The dining nearby was fantastic! You can get great seafood pretty much anywhere. The best She-crab soup ever is just one block away. The Harbourview Inn was the perfect place for my husband and I to spend our honeymoon. The hotel has a beautiful view of the harbour and is within walking distance from everything. And I mean everything- any tour you may want, all of the downtown restaurants- we never drove anywhere except to the beach. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable- we loved the down pillows! There was plenty of space to hang clothes and they provided two suitcase stands as well. The staff was very friendly and were very hellpful in helping make our daily plans. Overall, it was a fabulous hotel and my husband and I recommend it to anyone and everyone! Score 3 out of 5 Great Customer Service Anonymous, 2006-05-28 GReat restaurants and the market place. The Harbor View was very beautiful. Score 5 out of 5 Great Location LINDA, Columbia, SC, 2006-05-18 It is a short walk to the Charleston market and many restuarants are available. Two close restuarants are Blossoms and Magnolia's. These are great low country and lots of local flavor. Close by (about 3 blocks ) is Charleston Place with great shops and bars. Good shopping on King Street--SAKS FIFTH etc.The location was excellent and it was a classy hotel. Room was very clean and staff was professional. As a businesswoman traveling alone I felt safe both at the hotel and coming and going to events. I liked the downtown feeling of the property. I am a snob about furnishings and bed linens. The hotel was up to snuff on both counts. The front desk personnel were helpful in making dinner reservations and giving directions. If you were bringing a family you would probably miss having a pool but it didn't matter to me since I was on business. Score 5 out of 5 Good location in Charleston SC robert, Atlanta, GA, 2006-05-05 Dining was a short walk or the desk procured transportaion for us!The hotel was very well located for activities in downtown Charleston. A beautiful waterfront park was across the street. The room sevice breakfast was very nice. It arrived on time and was complimentary. There was a wine and cheese bar every afternoon. Cookies and milk were served at night. The desk was very helpful. The view from the rooftop terrace was great! Breakfast could also be served on the terrace if you wished. |
