Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 poor jane, Newark, NJ good italiano resturant around the corneri didn't expect to stay in a room where the sink was in my face and as small as it was - the coffee pots were broken in both rooms that we had rented and the breakfast room is located ouside the laundry room.it is also located right next door to a men's homeless shelter and didn't feel very secure walking back there at night Score 4 out of 5 My review of Travelodge - Philadelphia Joseph Italian resturant around the corner which was very good.I went for a conference and the hotel was near the conference center. Room was clean and adequate. Score 4 out of 5 Convenient location Anonymous, 2006-12-10 Great bars to visit on Walnut Street. The Travellodge in Philadelphia was in a great location to visit the city. The room was a bit small and tough to move around, but served its purpose. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and made the stay enjoyable with their help calling a cab, and giving directions to specific locations. Score 5 out of 5 great business amenities Anonymous, 2006-11-16 huge city park and many of the finest restaurants nearby. The travelodge was very comfortable. The location was closer to main streets. The room was comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The internet service was great with no additional fee. JENNY, Boston, MA, 2006-09-15 be prepared to take care of your own luggage with a very cranky elevator. This hotel is really a motel of sorts. No mini bar, no restaurant, no bellhop, etc. But it also costs less than hotels with these amenities. So with this in mind, I had two excellent night's sleep in a very comfortable bed. Score 4 out of 5 Me and 11 year old Toni, 2006-08-29 Breakfast included bagels and juice. Good kid food.Would like to have had a window in the room but my 11 year old grandson and I were just there over night to see the sights in Philly and the t.v. worked fine. So the space was adequate and the staff helpful and friendly. They let us leave our luggage early in the morning when we arrived and before check in so we were unencombered. Only negative was not the hotels fault which is that diet soda came out of every choice in the basement vending machine. Score 5 out of 5 Very Good Location Anonymous, 2006-05-23 Good location in DowntownThe Travelodge was very comfortable, the room was with enought space with a desk and chair. The location was excellent -- it was three block to Downtown and there were restaurants very close." Score 4 out of 5 Convention Travellers Rejoice Craig, Manchester, NH, 2006-05-17 China TownThe best thing I can say about the Travel Lodge in Philadelphia (Race Street) is that it's directly behind the convention center. If you have an event at the convention, this hotel is not only a steal for the money, but a great location option. Don't expect amenities, just a clean basic room in a great location. You're near China Town and there's a quaint little restraunt serving all your American favorites right across the street. Score 4 out of 5 Great value for money Anonymous, 2006-04-26 Walk 1 block to Convention Center, 2 blocks to Chinatown and approximately 1 mile to Historic District. The Travelodge - Philadelphia provides clean, basic rooms with convenient access to the Philadelphia Convention Center at half the price of most other nearby hotels. The location is also near Chinatown, and an easy walk to the Historic District. The only downside is its location next to a homeless shelter. We did not experience any problems however we made a point to try to come and go in groups after dark. I would recommend a full-time security person in the hotel lobby since we were often able to access the elevator or stairway when no one was at the reception desk. |
