Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, Baltimore, MD My kids loved the pool and wanted to stay longer because of it. My husband used the fitness room and was satisfied with the equipment. The front desk staff made sure that my brother's family was put in a room next to ours. The breakfast was excellent. So great not to have to worry about running out in the morning, especially with two small children. There are three small notes for improvement. First, The hotel seemed extremely warm. We used the fan and low cool in the room, so we were fine. Next, the remote controls in both our room and my brother's didn't work. Lastly, our room keys had to be reset every day. Other hotel guest were having the same trouble. Overall, our stay was more than comfortable and we would choose to stay again. Score 3 out of 5 family friendly timothy, 2007-03-12 easy to find and get to. right on a main roadthe rooms were nice. they had a full breakfast, that was very nice. walking disance to where we wanted to visit. Score 2 out of 5 Business oriented Anonymous, 2007-03-03 A water park and several colleges are nearby by car. Of course there is the lake but as it was less than 10 degrees out, I did not go to the lake to see what was there. This hotel is well located for business and near the highway for easy access, and for that it was perfect for my needs. I feel that the hotel is relying on the name Best Western too much for its business. It does not maintain the pool very well and should not be allowed to use the name spa for there is nothing spa-like there. There were 2 treadmills, one which was somewhat working and a stair master machine that did not work. There was no water even when asked to replace it there was none to be had. I found the room to be what was expected except that they do not clean the curtains in the shower very often and you do not feel comfortable in the shower because of it. They may have been clean, but due to water stains, they did not look it. It left me with a feeling of sparce resources used to maintain the property. Score 1 out of 5 I may never stay at a Best Western again Kathleen Russman, Greenville, NC, 2007-02-24 The Best Western in Erie left much to be desired. The room was quite dirty. The rugs had dirt and crumbs. The bathroom had hair on the toilet and floor. The toilet needed to be cleaned. Due to a full house. There was no hot water to shower. The breakfast buffet tables were very dirty. Score 5 out of 5 Warm and comfortable hospitality Anonymous, 2005-08-25 I really don't have any helpful hints because it was so easy to get from the motel to the mall or any other place you want to go .The Best Western in Erie Pa. was extremely comfortable. I loved that the rooms were so large! The bathroom was really nice as well; there was a lot of counter space. The employees were very friendly and helpful. It was close enough to Erie that you could be "where the action is" in 5 minutes; yet it was far enough away to have a quiet stay. It is also close to restaurant which made it very nice, considering I had a 13 year-old (hungry boy with me (my son). My son also enjoyed his stay, he loved sleeping in a double bed versus his twin bed. Score 5 out of 5 seven jennifer, Pittsburgh, PA, 2005-08-08 Lake erie and the city of erie was a short drive. This hotel was a seven out of ten. The price was somewhat high. It was close to everything in the city, and the rooms were very clean. The hot breakfast they advertise is nothing to bragg about, the only difference between a continental breakfast and there's was you could make yourself pancakes, the workout room was extremely small and so was the pool. The staff was somewhat limited at the front desk. Score 5 out of 5 Clean, comfortable, and close! Debbie, Nottingham, 2005-05-20 Easy to get to, not far from major business center, friendly staff, plenty of parking. The only reason for the ambiguous ratings on amenities and dining facilities is that we didn't use these. |
