Stay somewhere else. The Cimarron is just a few blocks away and is a better motel.
First of all I should let you know I almost never gripe about cold food, bad service or other inconviences while on vacation. Life is just too short. When we arrived on September 26th at this Red Lion we were given a different type of room than we had reserved. We were put in a two queen bed room (that smelled of cigarettes) instead of the king room we had reserved. The motel staffer (11 pm) merely shrugged and had no explination. It wasn't the two beds (they were comfortable enough) it was his attitude. The next morning we got a wake up call at 6 am that we hadn't asked for. It makes me wonder if this employee did this to punish us for daring to ask for what we had reserved. Later I called Red Lion and was told that they don't make room reservations, they just guarantee "a room".
