The stafff at front desk was a trainer and a trainee and only the trainer could do anyting so check in took forever with a long line waiting. Score 4 out of 5 Great location and setting Herman, Eugene, OR McGraffs fish house for dinning. Most major stores are located in the mall. The Shilo Inn was very confortable. Lots of room with nice furniture. The setting is very nice and quite even being so close to the Hwy.Restaurants are a very short drive with nice assortment of of stores near by. Score 5 out of 5 Great stay Donald, Providence, RI, 2007-02-21 There was a small mall right across the street with a few restaurants nearby. The room was very comfortable and very pleasing. It had a gas fireplace which was very nice to have while relaxing in the evening. It was very centrally located and had a good contential breakfast. Never ate there for dinner but the menu looked impressive. I also liked how there was a coffee-maker in the room with different coffees and teas. A nice touch. Would certainly stay there again. We have already recommended it to people. Score 5 out of 5 Very Family Friendly Anonymous, 2006-08-05 there was even continental breakfast available. The Shilo was a very nice room. I was very impressed with the setup except for the fact that the hide-a bed was not very private. The staff was excellent. The area is known for great hiking, camping, golfing, winter sports, rafting and many special fairs, festivals and shows including: Quilting, Antiques, Cars, Rodeos.Finding the Shilo Inn in Bend was easy. The check-in was the first hint that others did not have the experience they expected. While we were taken care of without any problems, other guests before us at the counter were having to make corrections to their billing. Our room was very nice. We enjoyed the easy access to in room movies. The breakfast buffet was mixed with the staff being unprofessional in serving the customers and yet the food was very good. Back at the check-out we again experienced other guests complaining about their messed up billing and bad room conditions. While our experience was fine, the other guests complaining in every interaction with the staff put a damper on our experience of the facility. We felt lucky to have been placed in the room we had and that we were only their for one night. Score 5 out of 5 BEAUTIFUL RUSTIC SETTING Nancy, San Diego, CA, 2005-07-24 My mom and I really enjoyed our stay at the Shilo Inn in Bend, Oregon. My 82 year old mom was especially delighted that they found us a room on the first floor since she has trouble with stairs. The room was very comfortable and larger than we were expecting with a the bedroom area separated from the living room by a small fully stocked kitchen. Even the sofa bed was comfortable. The location along the river was very rustic and beautiful. I enjoyed the indoor pool. The only thing that could be improved was the check in time of 4:00 p.m. We arrived at noon and had to kill time until we could check in. The room was fairly large with a good air con and a gas fireplace for winter. Furniture was in good repair. Bathroom was adequate for our needs. There was a public ice machine in each building. The pool was large enough so as not to be crowded. Lots of pool lounges. Parking at the room. Balcony with chairs with view of trees and the pool. Close to town. A very good value.
