It is close to the meeting place for our guide for fishing, there was no problem with my late check in and the staff were great helping me get to where I needed to be on time. I don't do directions well but the staff at the Red Lion made things so easy that I had absolutely no problem getting around in a city I knew nothing about. The other people I work with are planning to go fishing shortly with me and we all plan on staying at the Red Lion. Score 5 out of 5 A clean place to sleep kristin, 2006-05-14 Ecola State park is just a half hour drive from Astoria on the coast. It is a beautiful park to view water birds and mammals. From there you can continue to drive the beautiful Oregon coast. We spent the day planning for a visit from my parents, so we scoured the upper Oregon coast all day and pulled in to Astoria at about 9:30 pm. The Red Lion Inn was clean, quiet and comfortable. The front desk staff were helpful, as they answered several questions and directed us to the visitor information center in the morning. Score 5 out of 5 Lovely Water view Suzanne, Manchester, NH, 2006-03-23 The Red Lion was very comfortable. New Mattress on the bed were an exterm delight to find extrem comfort. I would stay there again when traveling through Oregon. Everthing was near and easy to find with the assistance from front deak employees. Landury service was also avaiable. Enjoyed watching the boats come in from sliding door window. Convient Restaurants were very close with great food. Score 5 out of 5 Low in price, high in quality misty, Portland, 2006-03-05 Make sure you go to the light that is after the hotel or you'll end up going to Washington. But if you do, it's a very scenic drive. We were very pleased with this hotel stay. The view of the marina was great and the kids loved to watch the water from our private balcony. We also were very impressed with the complimentary breakfast. Hot waffles you can make yourself and a variey of cereals, muffins, fruits and juices. Score 5 out of 5 Good room, great price Donald, Seattle, WA, 2005-12-30 You can make your own pancakes for breakfast!!We had a fair sized room with a great view of the marina and Columbia river. The room was spotlessly clean. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The only thing I didn't care for was that the guest area where the continental breakfast was served was in disrepair..that is there were some problems with the wallpaper/baseboard areas that were very noticable.. Score 5 out of 5 Right on the water Anonymous, Seattle, WA, 2005-09-05 The hotel is located right on the water, our balcony/deck actually extended over the water. We had a wonderful view of the marina right in front of us and could watch ships coming in and out beyond that. The beds were extremely comfortable pillow top mattresses and lots of pillows on each bed. |
