The Red Lion Inn and Suites is a first class hotel located 10 miles from downtown Portland. The hotel is a beautiful property centrally located near all of Portland's main attractions and the airport. The large and comfortable suites are clean and refreshing, as is the rest of the property.
Most recent user reviewsScore 2 out of 5 Cold pool, broken treadmill, etc. Winifred, Houston, TX NOthing close by except the airport. We made a reservation at this hotel because of the warm pool which we need for exercise in the winter. It was extremely cold and we complained - the hotel clerk pointed out that the thermostat said 85 (later we discovered the thermostat was broken). They finally called repair man, but the pool was not fixed by the time we left. So - we had an icy pool for 6 full days. Meanwhile the one treadmill also broke and was not fixed for several days. Score 3 out of 5 good location to airport don, Portland, OR we had breakfast at the Elmers, very good. Our flight was very late, and they told us they could not hold a non-smoking room. the facility was fine-----we did not use the amenties---or the breakfast. It was quiet, and was easy to locate from the rental car agency. Our only complaint or concern was the "smoking" room. Suggestion---the hotel could have used something to freshen the smoking room---it was extremely bad smelling. The linens even smelled. Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, New York, NY No review provided by user Score 5 out of 5 Very friendly staff Anonymous, San Francisco, CA Both family style restaurants had good service and food selection was varied and home style cooking. The Red Lion Portland (Airport) was comfortable. The room was larger than we expected, which was great as we were snowed in for a whole day. It was nice that there were two family style restaurants nearby which were accessible through the snow. It was convenient a computer was available in the lobby for guests use, so we were able to reschedule our flight, and check e mail, as our venue was cancelled due to the snow. The location was convenient to the airport and car rental facilities. The hotel amenities were pretty crummy. Score 4 out of 5 Room was outstanding Bob, Reno, NV, 2007-03-10 Red Lion hotel room was excellent, recently fully remodeled. No elevator, no bell hop, temporary restaurant sucked. The hotel is in the process of being fully re-done. The roomwas outstanding. Score 2 out of 5 My review of Red Lion Inn & Suites Portland Airport Anonymous, 2007-03-05 Elmer's is located next to the hotel and serves a nice breakfast.Red Lion Inn and Suites at Portland airport Red Lion is close to the airport, but in a neighborhhod that I did not feel safe in after dark. The check in was extraordinarily slow, as theere was only one clerk, and answering the phone appeared to be his priority. The room was very clean, although the interior was old and outdated. Score 5 out of 5 Supportive staff Anonymous, 2007-02-24 Downtown Portland and central Portland? (Lloyd Center) are easily available via Light Rail transport. If you are adventurous, you can find great fun traveling Public Transportaion- it's clean, runs on time, safe, and affordable. Give it a try- you won't regret it!The Red Lion Inn & Suites was a great fit for our 3 day stay in Portland. Staff is very supportive and available. We were transported quickly to and from the airport AND to the light rail station a few blocks away. Staff was also helpful finding bus routes for us. Some amenities that were nice- an accessible computer in the lobby and a light breakfast available each morning. The price was reasonable, combined with the flight. Score 5 out of 5 very good gary, Portland, OR, 2006-12-29 An Elmer's and Bill's Seakhpoouse are right there. The Red Lion Inn on 102nd and Sandy is always our choice when we are flying out of Portland International. We always leave our car there for up to two weeks and the shuttle even tough old, is always available with good drivers. The rooms are always clean, quiet and complete. We always rely on their continental breakfast although the waffle/toaster is slow. have sent many of our friends to this hotel and they have been equally satisfied. Two good restaurants are right there. |
