Very pleasant staff.SUPER 8 MOTEL - OKC/ARPT/FAIRGROUNDS/WEST, Oklahoma City, OK receptionist was very responsive to my situation and gave me a room just where I wanted to be. Since the room was all I needed, I didn't check out any potential amenities, but there was an Outback Steakhouse, Denny's, and Mexican food restaurant, among others, very close by. It is a straight shot north of the airport and near to a main east-west artery into town, about 5 miles away. The room was nicely heated when I came in out of the cold. Score 5 out of 5 Nicely Quiet! The bathroom was clean, the beds were clean and comfortable. However the carpet was VERY dirty. I laid out towels over the dirty spots so I would not have to look at them. Wireless worked and desk was convenient. Near the airport. Airport Shuttle was on time and only a few minutes to the airport. Excellent value for the money. Ok., was adaquate at best. We had requested a down stairs unit as Iam hadicaped. Also the ice machine was down stairs and was necessary for extra trips. My wife has throat cancer and lives on Boost. (no food) It was a hassle to make those trips for ice to keep her boost cold. Also it was up and down the stairs for dinner. The room faced I40 highway and the noise was terrible. When the fan on the heating unit kicked in you thought a 18 wheeler was coming through the door. Towles were very small and next to impossible to get soap out of paper. It was like it had been in there for a million years. |
