Very dated facility. Many facilities didn't work. elevators iffy. Fire Alarm goes into alarm, does not call Fire department. Computers in business Center don't work. Food is expensive and just average.

A great place to relax

if you do not want to drive out to eat try the room service or the on sight restaurant!

The Midwest Hotel and Conference Center was a very relaxing experience. My husband and I had a very quiet and well deserved rest there. The room service was fast and the food still hot.the check-in was a problem in the beginning, but that was soon taken care of and we were off to a relaxing day.

Too cold for people

THe Ohio School for the Deaf is .3 of a mile away.

I tried to see if a room was ready for me, but they didn't have my name. Later in the evening after my meetings, I was able to get a room. When I walked in the room the heat was off, so I turned it on high and went down to the very good restaurant. I ate a great meal with wonderful service, but when I returned to my room it was still cold. I kept thinking It has to warm up. I decided to go to the pool and find the whirlpool to warm up. It was vacant and unwelcoming and downright scary. I went back up to my room. Still frigid. Called the desk and they said they would send someone to fix it. No one came. I still had my coat and scarf on. I was shivering. Finally I went back down to the desk and they gave me another room. It was warm, but smokey smelling with very worn carpet. Cigarette stains everywhere. It was supposed to be a nonsmoking room. YUCK! I will not stay at the hotel again, but I may eat lunch, dinner or breakfast there.

Very close to many chain restaurants.

The Midwest Hotel and Conference Center was a nice hotel. Check in was really fast. The biggest disappointment was with the lighting in the room and vanity area. Other then that the room was very comfortable and I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

The Midwest Hotel & Conference Ctr was a bargain in a busy metro area during a football weekend. Some of the guests were loud and inconsiderate, but the staff was accomodating and did their best to keep things under control. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was hot and fresh, and satisfied my somewhat picky children. The location was perfect, right off the highway and close to everything we wanted to visit. The room was clean, although it smelled of hairspray as if someone had just been there before us. There were holes in the curtains, making the room look a little shabby. The entire hotel was supposed to be non-smoking, yet we could frequently smell smoke in the hallway. Despite these drawbacks, I believe the Midwest Hotel was good value for our money.

Our room was very clean and we had no problems with arriving late (we had previously notified them) We spent one night and left our car there while we flew out the next day using the hotel shuttle.
