Score 2 out of 5 Room Problems Martin, Syracuse, NY, 2005-10-23 We stayed one night at the Days Inn Lakewood, and although it appeared to be reasonably well-kept, we had a number of problems with our room. We arrived late and tired (of course), and when we got in the room, of the four lamps, one was missing a bulb and in another the bulb was burned out. As we just wanted to go to sleep, "oh well". There is a small refrigerator in the room with a motor that runs loudly and often, which was not conducive to good sleep. In the morning, I discovered, while showering, that the tub did not drain well, and filled with water. At checkout, we related these problems to the desk clerk, who said that she couldn't do anything and about the shower, we "should have let them know and they would have found us another room". When we pointed out that it would be darned inconvenient to change rooms while wet and in a towel, we got the inevitable "whatever". Because the hotel is in a perfect location for our purposes, we will probably return, but we'll sure know to look at the room first. And if someone can convince the staff that the customers are the only reason they get paid, perhaps they might pretend to be civil. All told, not a great experience, but a cheap place with inconveniences. Score 4 out of 5 Excellent Front Desk Help Chad, Cleveland, OH, 2005-09-12 Mahall's 20 lanes, an excellent, old-style bowling alley. Great fun.Although we didn't spend much time on our room, it was clean and satisfactory. The front desck clerk was incredibly helpful-as we were basically sightseeing on foot I called him several times to ask for directions/reccomendations. He was very, very key to our enjoyment of this trip. Score 4 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2005-08-14 No review provided by user |
