The hotel staff was very friendly and they provided whatever I needed, wasn't sure exactly where dining room was located. Fitness center equipment needed to be fixed/updated. Score 5 out of 5 Good hotel Kevin, 2006-08-28 McFadden's is a nice place to eat.Nice hotel in downtown Cincinnati Score 2 out of 5 Good Location, Poor Physical Conditions Brenda, 2006-06-11 The hotel is a close walk to the Great American Ballpark, the Bengal's Stadium, and the Freedom Center Museum. It is possible to walk from the hotel across a pedestrian bridge over the Ohio River to Newport on the Levee, a bustling, fun nightspot in Kentucky. The location is great: the heart of downtown Cincinnati and within close walking distance to both the Great American Ballpark and the Bengals Stadium. But the physical condition and upkeep of this hotel makes every night a new adventure. At arrival, we found the room sweltering and were told the AC unit was broken but would be worked on by the staff engineer. True to his word, it was fixed after several hours' work; thank goodness because we were told we could not move to another room because there weren't any. Worse was to come. We were awakened at 2:00 A.m. by two persons walking into our room via the connecting door, which was not locked prior to our arrival by Security. This was quite unnerving; thank goodness we do not carry weapons! We had to call Security (they are the ones with the key), dress, and wait for them, then go back to bed and try to go to sleep after all this. As for the room's being cleaned, it happened most days, but we were missed entirely on one of them, despite having called housekeeping midday, to tell them we were leaving for the day, and that the room could be entered for servicing. Otherwise, the hotel is very noisy. I am not a complainer...all these things really happened! Score 5 out of 5 Very satisfactory stay. richard, Indianapolis, IN, 2006-05-22 Enjoyed Eden park and Butterfly garden overlooking the river. The Terrace Hotel in Cincinnati was very satisfactory. We were only there one night, but staff was very friendly, accomodating. Only concern was air was not working properly because of a broken part, but other than that it was very good. Short walk to where we had business. Continental breakfast was good. My wife left a sweater in the room and staff was very prompt in getting it mailed to us. Enjoyed the resturant. Different kind of food, but very good. Score 1 out of 5 My review of Terrace Hotel Cincinnati renee, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-04-15 Overnight parking fees were not included in the room charges. There was no exhaust fan for the bathroom. Room was extremely small. The room we were moved to after a 3am air conditioner break down resulting in huge clouds of smoke enveloping our room did not have a refrigerator. Score 5 out of 5 Very convenient Ron, College Station, TX, 2005-11-03 Only 1 1/2 blocks from the Convention Center, and it is an excellent base for anyone attending meetings there. The Terrace Hotel is about 1 1/2 blocks from the Cincinatti Convention Center - an easy walk - and is an excellent value for the money. The rooms are very nice, clean and quiet and the staff is friendly and helpful. Score 1 out of 5 Review Amy, Las Vegas, NV, 2005-05-25 This was by far the worst hotel I have ever encountered in all my travels across the United States. The staff was rude and unfriendly all because of a mishap upon check-in. They took an imprint of my credit card, which I saw them do, then claimed they dont do that after it came up the my imprint was lost, so in the middle of my trip I had to cancel my credit card. There is 4 or 5 other major hotels right in the same area, but I was going on what family members had told me that lived there. They said it was The Crown Plaza, when we arrived we had found out that it had been bought by and individual. |
