Most recent user reviewsScore 2 out of 5 Old hotel/motel Anonymous, 2006-08-10 Cedar Point is a 20 minute drive.Over all the hotel is old and not kept up. This is a popular truck stop so I would not suggest taking your family here. The Hotel has 2 pools one of which is closed, the other is very dirty and unkept. Score 4 out of 5 Review BRENDA, Pittsburgh, PA, 2006-07-16 SHORT DRIVE TO SANDUSKY & PUT IN BAYScore 5 out of 5 Bellevue Hotel & Suites is a nice place Francis, 2006-07-04 15 miles to Cedar Point amusement park, noted for the best rollar coasters.Bellevue Hotel & Suites is a nice place to stay. We stayed in a suite and the AC was really cold. (good it was humid in Ohio) I slept really well, this is my biggest concern in any hotel stay. My 2 younger kids swam in the pool. My oldest took contol of the cable. We stayed one night, so we didn't fully utilize the kitchenette set up in the suite. Score 4 out of 5 Best Mistake Ever... Adrienne, Indianapolis, IN, 2006-07-03 If you're around Sandusky BE SURE to catch a meal at one of the many "East Chicago Pizza" chains in the area. Fantastico! The Bellevue Hotel and Suites was a bit outdated. It was quite luxurious for our price though, but the ceiling mirrors above the bed and the full wall mirrors freaked me out a little bit. The hotel in general freaked me out, it was very poorly lit and our non-smoking suite had numerous cigar burns in the comfortor. Our purpous for visiting Bellevue was Cedar Point Amusement Park in nearby Sandusky, but I would not recomment Bellevue to park visitors. To catch the shuttle (which saves $9 in parking @ the park) you had to drive several miles to another hotel. Mostly I was excessively creeped out by my visit and glad to leave. Score 4 out of 5 Nice Hotel Anonymous, 2006-06-30 Cedar Point is about 20 miles away not a bad drive unless your exhuasted from being at the park.It was clean and the indoor pool and hot tub worked, however the outdoor pool wasnt working. It did save us lots of money and would do it again. Score 5 out of 5 Very Comfortable and Home-like Leslie, 2006-06-29 Close to Cedar Point, Seneca Caves, Sandusky, and shopping. A bit out of the way, but very quiet and peaceful. All though a bit run down, we had a very comfortable stay. The outdoor pool was not opperational and appeared to have not been used for several years. The indoor pool needed some repairs. However, the room was very comfortable. It was large, and very home-like. The staff was very kind and a lot of help with directions to various attractions in the area. Betty's resturaunt was close, good food, bad atmosphere. It was wonderful for the price. The room was also in process of renovation and had missing wallpaper, holes in the walls, and the bed's boxsprings were coming apart with exposed springs. I understand this was the last room available, but maybe they should have waited to finish it before allowing guests to stay in it. Score 1 out of 5 Needs a new maid!! Kevin, Cleveland, OH, 2005-10-26 The carpet needed sweep and cleaned they were spots on the carpet were past guest had spilled drinks and never cleaned, food crums on the floor... the bathroom fixures had rust on them, not just a little but alot!! & there was a bar of soap from the past gust in the bottom of the tub! As I walked in to the halls there was pizza on the floor. the ice & vending machines were out of order. I have allready made reservations in the next town for my next bussness trip there. Score 4 out of 5 good deal Andrew, 2005-10-16 We didn't venture to far from the hotel. We just went straight to norwalk to go to the raceway. We stopped at the mcdonald's and taco bell that was also a gas station and mini grocery store. Both places were within a quarter mile of the hotel and very easy to spot from the main roadThe Bellevue Hotel and Suites was clean, had good space, nice bathrooms, a convenient fridge. However the mattresses were not too comfy. And most of the vending machines were out of order, especially the ice machine. I would have been happier if the ice machine worked. The lady at the counter was nice but she didn't tell us where our rooms were. They were in a separate building in the back and we had to figure that out by ourselves after ten minutes of running around the lot. Overall an above average experience. 3.5 out 5 stars. |
