Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Great value Anonymous Close to theme parks and outlet shopping.Though it is best to request an updated room, this is still a great place to stay, get a good meal, and pay a very reasonable amount. Score 5 out of 5 Review Scott, Fort Lauderdale, FL No review provided by user Score 5 out of 5 Nice family retreat Howard, 2005-12-28 The Aurora Inn was a nice place for our family to stay. The room and beds were comfortable, and the swimming pool and area were a great treat during the cold of winter. We had a nice dinner (good food, good value) in Gregory's Grille. The staff was friendly too. The only thing I would change is the cost of breakfast at the Grille -- our bill ended up being fairly high for breakfast. Otherwise, everything was great! Score 5 out of 5 Charming small hotel Elaine, Atlanta, GA, 2005-12-27 Outlet stores are very nearby.A delightful place to stay over the holidays. Cosy pulbic area with fireplaces, Christmas trees and decorations. Well run, very accomodating staff. Tasty breakfasts in their dining room Score 4 out of 5 Good for the cost Anonymous, 2005-12-13 This is a good place to stay for business travle. The Aurora Inn was a good value. the hotel did not have all of the options that some may have. The hotel looked to be in a slow time of the year. The room was clean and cozy, but a little small. Some of the amenities that were advertised were not available, but it still was a good value and relatively easy to find. Score 2 out of 5 Going Up? Eric, 2005-10-16 Punderson State Park is only a few minutes drive north of the interstate. With plenty of beauty and stately old homes of southern flare. If you are looking for a quaint hotel with little or no room service, not an elevator to wake you in the night and are willing to lug all your luggage up two flights of steps on your own, this might be the hotel for you. If you don't mind clattering water pipes each time you flush the toilet or bathe, and a few cracks in your tub, this might be the hotel for you. She's an old hotel and from the outside has plenty of charm. But, apparently the hotel still has it's original waitresses from when she was created and the service is lowsy. We had a three hour wait til our food was served for a room service, my own spouse had to retreive and the contents were less than pleasing to the eye and short on the complete meal. We were however offered $10 off each nite of our stay in compensation for the food problem, but, we were not happy all the same. For a two nite stay, I'd rate it all, going down. |
