The Budget Host Coach Inn Athens, a Magnuson Hotels affiliate, is located in Athens, OH on US 50, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. We are only minutes from Ohio University, Hocking College, O Bleness Memorial Hospital, Hocking Hills State Park, Strouds Run State Park, and Logan State Park.

The room was clean although furnishings are a bit dated. The mini fridge was very cold and actually froze some of our canned drinks. AC worked well although the room had a chemical cleaning odor when we first arrived. There is a sink/vanity counter separate from the bathroom. Check-in desk staff were friendly and helpful. Since we were hardly in the room except to sleep, our needs were met. Score 1 out of 5 Don't Stay Here!!! James, 2006-07-20 This place is a pit. The mattress on the bed must be at least 20 years old. The place smelled musty. The air conditioner was noisy and did little to cool the room. I will never stay in a Budget Host again! Either one will take a person to a variety of eating places.We only needed a one night stay. It was a good place to stay, with friendly desk personal and a clean room. Considering it was a special weekend in Athens and all prices go up at the hotels, this was fairly reasonable. We would stay here again. I like the location, it had a nice view of the hills around Athens. |
