Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 I Have Other Things To Do Anonymous, 2006-08-01 We stay at the Marion Super 8 because it is near the home of my Uncle and my 4-year old daughter loves a swimming pool. We have stayed here at least two other times. This time was a disaster. The carpet in the first floor hallway was soaking wet and smelled like a cat litter box. We were given a room on this floor and everything seemed damp. I didn't want to put anything on the floor because the carpet seemed wet to the touch. The air conditioner did not help. We complained but the staff at the desk just referred to some air conditioning incident. There did not seem to be anything in place to dry the area. We parked on the back side of the building to get to our room easily. However, our room keys never worked and we would either have to walk all the way around the hotel in almost 100 degrees or walk on a very busy road. The first time this happened we walked into the lobby and no one was at the front desk but someone--who ignored us--was vacuming. When my husband called out "Hello" assuming that the front desk person was in tha back, the vacuming woman said "I'll be with you in a minute." She the finished vacuming. There was no apology for the non-working keys and no politeness or friendliness either. We won't stay at this hotel again. It is clearly on the way down and out. Score 4 out of 5 Worth The Cost David, 2005-11-16 This Super 8 was well worth the cost. I had business in the area and it was in the right location. I wasn't looking for anything too fancy or expensive. Just a comfortable place to stay for the night. This property fit the bill for he right cost. The free breakfast provided was excellent and a nice bonus. I expect to stay at this place the nexttime I'm in town. Score 4 out of 5 Lack of Iron Vivian, New York, NY, 2005-06-20 The rooms are clean and well-kept. However, the hotel needs to have plenty of irons on hand. I needed to iron a dress and was unable to locate one. I must also add that I stayed at another super 8 motel in Connecticut and each room had an iron with ironing board. |
