Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 Scary Rikki, Springfield, IL, 2006-08-07 The Days Inn Columbus North was by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Not only was the hotel located, what I would hope to be, the worst area of Columbus (we needed a police escort to our car after dinner across the street)- but the staff was discourteous and the pamphlet was misleading. Our room was located on the ground level, which in the area was unsettling. I was forced to shower and walk around the room in shoes. There was no tissue in the room and the toilet paper dispenser was broken. To add insult to injury, there was a night club in the hotel that blasted music through the night. The maid service started knocking on my door at 9 a.m. (though the belief that someone cleaned the room previous to our stay would be amazing) and continued to come back ever 10 minutes. Due to this stay, I do not believe I will be a guest at any Days Inn in the future. Score 3 out of 5 Just OK Ron, 2006-07-28 Good location for many restaurants. Cheap movies at theater around the corner.Bathroom was not cleaned properly, the bathroom flooring was not attached to the floor. The remote to the TV did not work, had 3 lights that did not work in the room. I did contact the front desk to have this corrected and they came up to the room right away. I came back to the hotel for my second night stay and could not get into my room. The key was deactivated because they thought that I was only staying one night. Good area for many different restaurants. Found a great movie theater that charges a $1.50 for admission at the Contenant Mall. Its a good value for the money if you are looking to just stay a night with things do to do all day. Score 1 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-06-14 I had to sit in a lobby that was very shabby about 45 minutes later I was given a key to my room. There was no warm or hot water in the sink, but there was hot water in the tub. I used the tub. The toilet ran all 3 days. The T.V. remote worked sometimes, but the volume control never worked. I stayed out of my room from 8 a.m. till about 11:00 p.m. each day. I would not stay there again if it was free. Lastly, I did not bother to complain. At least the parking was free. Score 4 out of 5 comfortable visit James, Cleveland, OH, 2006-05-21 plenty of restaurants - from fast food to sit down restaurants. While staying at the Days Inn I visited relatives at a nearby motel which cost them about double of what I paid. I feel I got the better value for my money. Score 4 out of 5 bang for your buck Anonymous, Cleveland, OH, 2006-05-17 This hotel is located on two major through ways in Columbus, Ohio: I-71 and I-161. There is not much around in other ways but there are several restaruants in less than five mins. from the hotel. It was a little run-down, but, this hotel exceeded all the standards I had for it. It was clean, quiet, and located near a Columbus major freeway. The staff was fiendly and very helpful. When my husband abd I wanted extra pillows, the staff ddelivered them to our room. I will admit there was a lot that we did not get to expierence at this Days Inn, but our overall impression is that this hotel was efficient and clean. This is a very good place to stay for the price range. Score 3 out of 5 Economical Quarters James, Dayton, OH, 2006-03-04 White Castles, Max and ErmasThe room was comfortable. The hotel is experiencing the wear issues that I see at most Days Inns recently.Security seemed to be OK but there is a popular night club which appeared to be frequented prodominately by non-hotel guests. The location is convenient to highways and Columbus with plenty of restaurants near by. Score 4 out of 5 Weekend stay Anonymous, Cleveland, OH, 2006-02-05 Many popular restaurant chain sites to choose from, ie, Olive Garden, Longhorn, Outback, Red LobsterThe Days Inn North in Columbus, Ohio, was very adequate for our weekend needs. The room was clean and comfortable. The bowling center and many restaurants were nearby. Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient. Nice continental breakfast but could have had a greater variety of breads and pastries (there were no donuts or bagels). I missed not having a coffee maker in the room. Score 3 out of 5 Not part of a chain motel anymore Anonymous, 2005-04-30 More and more I am finding Days Inns are no longer owned by the corporation of Days Inn. This is not good. There is definitely a problem with being misled. I will not be staying at any more Days Inns in the future. |
