It's pretty run down. They're doing some kind of remodelling but it was a mess when we were there. The room was clean enough. Score 1 out of 5 ok for business overnight Anonymous, Boston, MA, 2006-03-11 There was a large mall less than 1 mile away and many restaurants on the same street. This hotel was undergoing some construction. They started banging in the room above us at 7:10 every morning! They were using a sledge hammer to remove all the tiles from the bathroom above us. After 3 mornings of being awakened by incredibly loud banging above us they started in the room next to us. One morning we went out in the hall to discover 5 toilets. They used a small load lifter to get all the debris out from the floor above us. The hallways were freezing! It was a very handy location. But we feel they should have told us they were going to be under construction. It closed the next week. Needless to say, we were very disappointed in our visit. Score 4 out of 5 Nice place to stay Donald, Buffalo, NY, 2006-02-19 There are places to go right around there for dinner, such as Roadhouse Grill and Don Pablos. This hotel was not bad. I could tell that it was older, and not very renovated from its early days. I did like that it seemed very clean and kept up. It definitely could have used a new paint job because it looked like it was out the 1970s, but it was a nice place to stay for one night. It was a main strip in Rochester, and I would stay there again Score 4 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-02-12 alot of restaurants the marketplace mall...starbucksScore 5 out of 5 very nice Jim, New York, NY, 2005-10-30 alot of resturants and shopping mall very closei was amazed that the hotel was as nice for the price. room had a nice clean smell and a new tv wqs nice. The breakfast was ok but didn't have cream cheese for the bagels. I would recomend this hotel to anyone. Shower should have been cleaned a little better, as there was scum on wall. Score 5 out of 5 value for money Bo-Yin, 2005-10-09 I would caution those asking for their complimentary van service to allow for an extra 10-15 mins. Otherwise Jefferson street is chock-a-block full of shopping locations. The bed sleeps comfortably. While it would be nice to have wireless in the room, I was content to use it in the lobby. The swimming pool is cold (I did not realise that "indoors" does not mean "heated") but acceptably so. Convenience stores and eateries are abundant. Close enough to RIT for my conference. |
