Most recent user reviewsScore 2 out of 5 Just okay Anonymous This hotel is near the main shopping/dining part of Henrietta. There's a mall, a few strip malls, and several chain restaurants. The Days Inn Henrietta check in clerk was great, and the free breakfast was pretty good. The room was barely big enough for the bed, and had seen better days. The heat/ac unit looked like it had been kicked in at some point, and we had trouble getting the temperature comfortable - eventually determined that even a little heat was a lot because of the size of the room. There was an old remote control holder bolted to one end table, but the new remote didn't fit. It was clean, and served our purpose at the time, but if we had to stay their more than one night it would have been claustrophobic. Score 3 out of 5 Cheap and comfortable Anonymous, Chicago, IL The country-style restaurant was in the hotel.DAYS INN was a" value for money" hotel. The entrance of the hotel was not well organized and we could not feel the elegance and the cleanliness right at the entrance. The decoration was dull. The dining room was a country-style restaurant, dark and old-fashioned. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The bathroom was very clean and very recently renovated. Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous No review provided by user Score 4 out of 5 great staff....icky room Anonymous, 2006-11-24 Although we did not get to see the restaurant, the bar was a country western place. I am not partial to that music in particular, but the band was good, the bartender friendly, and the drinks mixed perfectly. At the Days Inn Rochester Thruwayl,The staff were kind, attentive, and tried to be helpful. We were given a refrigerator on request. However, the room was not really clean, and I woke up with some sort of insect bites on my legs. We were unable to get dinner after 9pm, so had to drive a few miles away to find somewhere open. Also the room was VERY cold(Thanksgiving Weekend)when we arrived, and it took a long time to get warm(about 5 hours). We had a king-sized bed, but in very close quarters. I would not stay there again. Score 4 out of 5 OK for a night Deborah, 2006-07-30 Everything was OK except the matress was old and lumpy and the bottom sheet kept coming off. Otherwise the place was clean, quiet and the air conditioning worked very well. Very convenient to the Thruway. Score 1 out of 5 last retsort stephanie, Milwaukee, WI, 2006-07-09 The doors were all dented in some door frames were missing and our sheets were urine stained! Score 2 out of 5 A hotel to pull of the road to crash for one night Rebecca, Burbank, CA, 2006-07-07 There are many fast food restaurants on Henrietta Road (which is where the hotel is) in addition to a large shopping mall and a Wegmans Supermarket for food options. The room was surface clean - vents in bathroom fan caked with dust and hard to reach corners of sink and shower had mildew. The room was damp. The AC on button had no button so I had to use a comb to turn on the AC. The AC was loud and the bathroom fan was louder. There is a bar/restaurant in the hotel that is a local drinking hotspot due to it's happy hour. On Friday night I returned to my hotel around 11pm and there was not one single parking space available. I went to hotel staff to inquire as to if hotel guests had any reserved spots and was told no - sorry. I had to park in a "no parking zone" in front of the hotel lobby and check every 20 minutes or so to see if a spot would open up for me to move into - one did at about 1:30 am. This hotel is for someone who wants virtually no amenities and is on a strict budget. Moving forward; I'd pay a few bucks more for service and comfort. Score 4 out of 5 A nice stop over DONNA, 2006-06-30 We just wanted an inexpensive, comfortable place to stay. That's what we got. It was nice to get a free breakfast before we headed out the next morning. The carpets felt a little wet when we got there, that was ucky, but other than that it was great! I didn't feel safe in that hotel and it was just nasty. |
