Great value and location for families

3 blocks away is great dining in Little Italy.

Took my sister, her high school daugher and my college daughter to NYC for the w'end. We arrived at night and on 1st blush thought we were in a bad neighborhood when we left to walk somewhere for dinner. The next morning, we proved to be wrong and found this to be a very convenient location to Little Italy and easy to get to Union SQ for shopping.

Affiliated Windsor Garden Restaurant (diagonally across street from hotel) is fantastic. Great food, good prices, nice people. They also deliver to the hotel if you prefer to eat in your rooom.

The room was small, but comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly. The best thing though was the location - only a 1/2 block from one subway stop and 1 block from another. Little Italy was only a 10 minute walk with all of its fantastic restaurants. Also, Chinatown, where the Windsor Hotel is located, has delicious food for very reasonable prices. I have stayed at the Windsor twice and I would stay again.

Nice, clean quiet, efficient hotel. Very competitively priced. Convenient to subways. The neighborhood looks a little discouraging at first - half block from Chinatown markets, fish, etc.; but it grows on you. You may have to direct your cabbie; get a map. There's a great little coffee house ("Drew's") and restaurant ("Grotto") on the block, and a 24/7 grocer ("Don Juan's") across the street, with an incredible beer selection

there are several good restaurant around. about 10 mins walking.

It's a good hotel because it is located at the good place. the price is too high, and the servece is not so good. the one of the beds was uncomfortable.

Near China Town and a short walk from little Italy

Lobby very small & plain. Rugs not the cleanest. Bath & wall paper in room acceptable. Furnature a bit knocked around. room small. For a place to put your head in NYC - not enjoying the "luxury" of a room, it was an acceptable overnight, once the shock of opening the door to such a small room W/ dingy rug was over. Bath was updated w/in last five yrs. and adequatly clean. No hotel ammeneties - we couldn't even get extra pillows.

Being located in Chinatown and very close to Little Italy, there is an abundance of resturants within walking distance.

The rooms at The Windsor Hotel were very small. Two people in a room is cramped. There was no closet in the room. The neighborhood is not a very good place to be walking in at night. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very accomodating. Would not stay there again.

Anywhere in Manhattan is only minutes away by taxi or subway.

This was my first time staying at the Windsor Hotel and I was very pleased with the cleanliness of both the hotel and the room. The only downside to staying here is that it is in Chinatown and the surrounding neighborhood isn't exactly the cleanest area but then again that describes a majority of NYC. The Windsor Hotel offers free wireless interent inside the rooms. I was on the 5th floor and had an excellent signal on my laptop. Its only a 5-15 minute taxi ride away from anywhere in Manhattan and there is also a subway station right at the corner from the hotel. I would definately recoommend staying here to anyone and plan on staying on my future visits.

Little Italy is just a few blocks away for some fabulous dining

Stying right in Chinatown adds to the fun and experience of staying in New York City. The Windsor hotel is in a great location if you like to stay in areas near the Village. There were three of us to a room and although small, it was considered large by NYC standards. Having our own bathroom was a must and the price was very reasonable for this city. The only drawback is to request a room that is not on street level if the smell of cigarette smoke bothers you. They do allow smoking in the lobby and our room was very near it and the smell of smoke was always in our room.

one block away is the subway stop, for access to city sights.

this is a good place for a very inexpensive stay in nyc, but not the place you want to go with an elderly parent for a trip.

The caf� next door serves good breakfast/lunches. Chinatown/Canalstreet just a few steps away Subwaystation is very close

This hotel is clean and located in a safe part of Chinatown. Outside of the hotel there is a horrible smell but that is just Chinatown! Furthermore the rooms are quiet, and the hotel is located close to a subway station! We had a great time!
