Score 5 out of 5 Best Sleep I've had in a Hotel Anonymous, Baltimore, MD, 2007-02-11 Macy's Herald Square, Times SquareThe Radisson was perfect for my stay in NY. It was convenient to Midtown, Herald Square-very tourist friendly. They also carry the sleep number bed system. This mattress was soooo comfortable I didn't want to go home! The decor was very city chic and the service was above average. Good deal for the money! Score 4 out of 5 It's about the best you'll get for your money Rhonda, Chicago, IL, 2006-11-22 There are quite a few places within walking distance from the hotel but the only place I walked to was Grand Central Terminal which is pretty cool with eateries and boutiqes. If the weather had been warmer I would have done a lot more walking. The room was very small with only a slight view of the street. The location is pretty good for tourists. The dining options were okay but pricey. Hotel staff did accomodate me with personal requests for a portable heater and refrigerator. Housekeeping left something to be desired. The room needed dusting in out of the way areas like in the bathroom above the mirror where the light fixtures are was quite dusty. I noticed it a few days in and it let me know that the cleaning was not thorough. House keeping took my personal shower cap that I left on the shelf in the shower along with my toiletries. I know it resembled the hotel issued cap but mine was much larger which is what I needed, they left another one but there were two people staying in the room which they could clearly see. Rooms are always made up for two so why would they leave only one cap. When cleaning the bathroom they never bothered to look behind the door where the towel rack is they would have noticed towels on the floor. The only thing that disappointed me was housekeeping. They took over 5 hours to come and clean my room. Score 2 out of 5 Beware business travelers... Anonymous, 2005-08-16 It is about two blocks from Park Avenue and a block from Third Avenue. Very centrally located for the business traveler. The business center amenities stunk. They charged you for everything, whether it be copying or printing a single page, or spending 15 minutes on the computer. If you are a business traveler, this isn't the hotel for you!! They wouldn't let me check in until 3 p.m., even though my room had been paid well in advance. I got in an hour early because I begged. The cafe doesn't accept credit or debit cards. Cash only... The room was freezing cold at night. When I asked for someone to tell me how to work the thermostat, they told me they had to find an engineer. There wasn't a blanket nor a bath mat in the room either. They wouldn't check my laptop although they expected me to wait three hours prior to checking into my room. I had to beg for them to take keep the darned thing behind the registration desk. They charged nearly $30 for the high-speed internet access, which they said they provided with the room. Nevertheless, it was a good location, the room was clean, and very well kept. Score 4 out of 5 Rude & unhelpful concierge Barbara, Rochester, NY, 2005-08-01 Everything is a short walk or cab/subway ride away. Views from the room beautiful! The hotel was clean and the atmosphere was pleasent. On more than one occasion I went to the concierge for suggestions on dining and transportaion and they were extremely unhelpful. Fortunately it was not my first trip to NYC so I was able to make my way around without them. If you are in need of guidance in the city don't depend on them for help! Score 4 out of 5 taken Anonymous, Chicago, IL, 2005-05-30 Great location! Extreamly overpriced for such a small, viewless room. Front desk hadn't updated their records from the night before. Was waiting about 20min while front desk clerk and manager figured out what to do for us. Which, in the end, was give us a smaller room for the same price.
