Whether you're in New York for business or pleasure, you'll be comfortable here. For one thing, our guestrooms are larger than the typical New York hotel room. What's more, specially constructed thick walls and floors, combined with and our unique, acoustically protected locations, creates something we call sleep ability. You'll enjoy a good night's sleep even though you're in the heart of a busy city.
Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Excellent Value - Good Location Holly, Nashville, TN, 2007-02-07 Get high floor ask to check in before the 4:00 rush. Clerks will try to accommodate you if possible. Rooms facing the interior are very quiet, but no view. Get a City Pass and you can go to Empire State, Circle Line Tours, Guggenheim, Natural History Museum and MoMA for $53 total. About 80% off the individual prices!Nice staff, huge place. Ask for a renovated room. The beds are great, room size larger than average for NYC. Terrific flat screen TVs. You will be delighted with this place if you get a deal on the price. Would not be worth it at market, or even average rates. This is not a luxury hotel. Which is an unbelievably FANTASTIC deal in a great location for a nice, clean comfortable, quiet room in NYC just a few blocks from everything. This would have even been a good deal at twice the price with New York hotel prices being what they are. Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2007-02-03 No review provided by user Score 5 out of 5 Courteous and helpful staff TRACY, Atlanta, GA, 2006-12-17 There are numerous restaurants within walking distance. The restaurants have a variety of specialties. The Park Central New York was a wonderful hotel. The location enabled us to walk and view many of New York's main attractions, including Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, and the Broadway District. The staff was extremely helpful. Although we arrived several hours before check-in time, we were allowed to check in within 15 minutes of our arrival. The front desk staff was courteous and helpful during our entire stay. The guest relations staff was also very kind and helpful. When we could not get a room with a view of Times Square because of availability, we were upgraded from a King room to a mini-Suite. Guest Relations was also helpful in giving suggestions for restaurants and directions. Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, Evansville, IN, 2006-11-15 There's a huge city park just a few blocks from the hotel. Great running trail, tennis courts, and an awesome skyline view.Score 5 out of 5 Chic city hotel Anonymous, Boston, MA, 2006-11-14 Due to the construction around 56th and 7th, you might want to consider taking the subway (within 3 blocks) to head downtown to avoid paying "waiting fees" for a taxi while sitting in construction traffic. The Park Central New York has a great location near Carnegie Hall and Central Park. The hotel is a creative compromise between comfort and modern design with minimalist decor but very comfortable furniture. The bed was extremely soft and I got a great night's sleep. The staff was very helpful and went the extra mile. When I checked in, my room wasn't ready so they upgraded me to a suite. It's a great value! Score 2 out of 5 My review of Park Central New York Anonymous, Sacramento, CA, 2006-11-07 The location is great, Central Park, 5 th Ave, Rockafeller Center, all walking distanceWe were very dissappointed with our bathroom. It smelled so moldly and you could see the mold in the shower and lots of it under the lip of the sink. Gross. I was dissappointed that we were woken up too early by construction that shook our beds. The noise was awful and there was no way we could sleep. Also the first morning we were waken by the alarm clock next door set at 5:45 am. It took two calls to security and 45 minutes later for them to respond. Is this what they mean when they call it the city that never sleeps. The last night we moved rooms from the construction. The bathroom was cleaner and the room was nicer. Score 5 out of 5 friendly Hossein, Dallas, TX, 2006-11-07 The central park very close .We didn't have hot water for one day,but everythings else was great. We loved it. Score 5 out of 5 Pleasantly Surprised Lise, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-09-18 I arrived on Saturday several hours before check-in (noon). I went to the front desk and explained I was aware I was early. The gentleman at the front desk took my name. He then told me to come back at 3pm to get my key and room. I checked my bag with the hotel, left and did a little sightseeing and walking in the park and returned at about 20 min after 3. There was a short line for check-in, but no problem. I went up to the desk and spoke to a different person. Told me my room was blocked because check-in was at 4. I told him the gentleman before told me to return at 3. Immediately told me there was no problem, he would find me a suitable alternative. Within 5 minutes, had upgraded my room to the 18th floor. I retrieved my bag (at a cost of $3) and went to my room. The elevator was small and a little slow, but that was not a huge concern. My room was small but clean. There was a working in-room safe, Iron and Ironing board, coffeemaker, ample towels and a 32 LCD TV. All the lighting in the room was a little dim, but that was not a problem as the room was just a way station for me. I had a wonderful weekend and would definitely stay here again Score 5 out of 5 Great Clean Rooms Sean, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-07-02 Central Park is just 3 blocks away and the theaters are about 4 blocks away. Also the city double decker tour bus stops right out in front of the hotel!!!!Clean rooms, quick check in and check out. SUPER great location. Walking distance to almost everything. Rooms were not small at all like most of the hotel rooms in NYC. You get a full bath and the water pressure in the shower is great. King bed and a desk with DSL hookup. also a chair to with plenty left over room so you dont feel like your cramped. The safe was also a nice perk to use. Great hotel no complaints at all. will stay there again in the future. Score 3 out of 5 Great Location Anonymous, Orange County, CA, 2006-06-29 A very short walk to Times Square. The subway stop was one block away. Great bagel shop one block away. And Starbucks is next door. The room was comfortable but needed to be updated. The bathroom faucet leaked. Plenty of drawer space. Housekeeping needed to vaccum daily. Location was fantastic! Near everything. |
