Good budget hotel

The bagel place a few doors down was quite good, and Ben's Deli just a bit farther was really good.

This hotel is fine if you don't spend a lot of time in your hotel. The location is great for getting anywhere in NYC. The rooms are extremely small--we had a twin bed and a bunk bed. The beds were quite comfortable, despite the closeness. Housekeeping seems to be done late in the day.

Close walk to Broadway.

The Manhattan had very friendly check-in personnel. We asked to hold our luggage and they did in a nearby bathroom/closet! Although our luggage was safe when we returned this was not a hotel I would be staying at in the future! The room was extremely small.

What a dump!

Just don't go there even if the location is ok and the price -- for Manhattan standards -- is good. When I checked in at 11pm, the room featured 4 beds! and the sound from the punk band from the other building just throbbed through the room. At !230pm when I turned out light they were still playing -- probably one of those late night gigs -- great when you're in the audience but not when in bed. The wire to the lamp was dangling there fixed with Scotch tape (always very trust inspiring) and turning the light on and off. The room had a sweaty/meaty smell that never got away -- of course opening the windows was not an option. And there were stains who knows where from.

I can expect a great hotel

Is located exactly at the 38th. St. corner with the 8th. Ave.

The hotel is located near the 8th. Ave. There's a lot of adult (XXX) places nearby, and the neighborhood is regular. The hotel is between a Chinese place and a video store. You can't see the hotel entrance from the street. Once you get the room, is clean. NO COACKROACHES. The bathroom was clean and with the esentials. The beds are not the greatest, but you can sleep. Overall, the hotel is acceptable for the price.

THE ROOM WAS SO UNCOMFORTABLE, NO WASH CLOTHS AND THE VIEW FROM THE WINDOW WAS LIKE LOOKING OUT AT A ALLEY(A BRICK WALL). THIS ROOM HAD NO CLOSET SPACE AND THE ELEVATOR WAS EXTREMELY SMALL. THE ROOM HAD CARPET ONLY IN FRONT OF THE BEDS. IF PICTURES ARE NEEDED I WOULD GLADLY FURNISH THEM. I RATE THIS HOTEL LESS THAN ONE STAR(*). THE ONLY THING THAT WAS IMPRESSIVE WAS THAT THE ROOM WASN'T DIRTY. IF YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH THE AREA YOU WILL DRIVE OR WALK PAST THIS HOTEL, IT LOOKS LIKE ONE OF THE OTHER ALD BUILDINGS.

Badly maintained hotel in a perfect Manhattan location

The hotel is a few blocks from everything in Midtown - Times Sq, Madison Sq Garden, etc

The Hotel is very poorly maintained. Yet, it was quite cheap. It is in a perfect location (!!!!) in Midtown Manhattan. If you are on a tight budget and need to spend a night in Manhattan - but not in a hostel - this may be a good choice�

Shopping and dining is at a shortwalk.

The Manhattan Hotel location is OK. There were roaches in the bathroom. In the first floor there is a Chinese restaurant and when they started working early in the morning all the grease fumes of the kitchen was concentrated in the room we were staying. The bathtub was clogged. The air conditioning did not work properly. This is the worst experience we have had. The last day of our stay was when they offered to change our room. I wouldn't recommend it even to my worst enemy.

Excellent Location

1. Ben's kosher delicatessan - 1/2 block from the hotel. 2. Pick up the Metro on Broadway (2 blocks away) and travel up and downtown easily to all major landmarks and attractions. 3. Close to Times Square & Empire State Bldg. 4. Walk to Rockerfeller Center, Sony Technology Wonder Labs, and Central Park Zoo!

The Manhattan Broadway Hotel is superbly located in Midtown Manhattan. Close to subways and landmarks, as well as a well-known Kosher delicatessan. You will find navigating from this hotel truly easy. Right in the Garment District, so you get a peak at off-the-rack fashions for the season. The rooms are dated and small with marble bathrooms (which are extremely slippery in wet or humid conditions). Bedding was not as clean as we'd like and stains were on drapes and walls. No bugs or critters. If you can look past perfection (as we did)and be happy to have found a reasonably priced room in NYC and don't plan on using the room except to sleep, this is the place to stay. Lots of family and young couple traffic. My children loved the room and location. We were pleased with the value.

Just round the corner there is a 24H food shop to buy something you can easy put in the room's fredge.

I will not suggest the Manhattan Broadway Hotel to my friens because I would have something more for the price I've payed. The bed was confortable, the location is Ok, the bathroom was clean but the Hotel is not really nice, maybe really owful!

Old, Dark, Noisy,Unpleasant

This hotel is in the Industrial section of NYC.We passed by the enterance twice before we noticed it, as it is only as large as an apartment door.The stairs and hallways are dark and narrow as this building seems to be an old conversion from an apartment that looks to be about 80 years old. The room had two old double beds and a rusted refridgerator and the bathroom was typical of and old inner city housing project. The room was airconditioned by a window unit that was blowing moist room temperature air.We decided that we could not stay there .
