Warwick Hotel New York
In the city where your address is everything, the Warwick has everyone talking. Not just about our ideal location, but what we stand for. Built by William Randolph Hearst in 1927 for his celebrity friends, the hotel is an oasis of European-style elegance in midtown Manhattan. The celebrity secret of the hotel is that many stars like to stay at the Warwick. The Beatles always booked the Warwick because the lobby is intimate. This means fewer autograph seekers and a quicker escape into the ...

A wonderful treat

Chez Laurence, 3 blocks away at 38th and Madison serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and provides a nice dining experience. If you prefer a typical New York diner, Moonstruck is at 38th on the opposite side of Madison.

The Library Hotel was all I expected, and one of the best New York hotel experiences I've had in the 50 years I've been visiting the city. The room I had contained a very comfortable double bed, and much more space than most New York hotel rooms. The bathroom was large enough to contain all my grooming items, cosmetics, and medicines - also a rarity in NY hotel rooms. Every member of the staff I encountered during the three days I was there was friendly and unfailingly helpful. The Reading Room offered a wide range of items in the complimentary continental breakfast, as well as snacks and tea and coffee drinks all day long. It was lovely to come back from the theatre on a cold night, and have a cappucino while relaxing in the indoor Poetry Garden, or take a cup of tea to your room. The hotel is from 1 to 4 blocks away from The New York Public Library, Fifth Avenue, Grand Central Station, The Morgan Library and Museum, dozens of restaurants, the Grand Central Market (which offers a huge variety of eat-in or take-away foods, as well as 2 subway and many bus lines.

Friendly, helpful staff

Anonymous, 2006-04-28

Great boutique hotel - with excellent service, complimentary breakfast and wine and cheese. Clever concept built around the Dewey Decimal System. My room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The rooftop bar is quite popular -- so avoid staying in a room directly underneath it. Also, elevators are quite crowded with folks going up for a drink after work -- especially when the weather is nice. But the location is terrific. And the staff actually understands and practices Customer Service!

Excellent use of room space, nice large bathroom

donna, Charlotte, NC, 2005-12-18

Parking garage for the hotel is two blocks away, discounted after you have the ticket stamped at the hotel. Several rental car pick up areas within a few blocks' walk.

The Library Hotel was everthing we expected it to be. Although small in number and size of rooms it was very warm and cozy, especially the serene library and cool rooftop lounge. The breakfast was fresh and filling, with a great view of the surrounding area. Excellent staff, very friendly and attentive but not overbearing. Excellent and well thought out use of space in the room. The bed was very comfortable, with plenty of down pillows and bedding. The room had a narrow closet but plenty of drawers, two small bedside tables, a sitting chair and small table, bed, marble vanity with huge mirror, and a cabinet with TV, safe and mini-bar. Walking distance to shopping, Rockefeller Plaza, and several unique neighborhood bars and restaurants. Perfect for business or couples, not really a place for kids though.

Quiet and luxurious

Only a block from the Grand Central Station. A bus from LaGuardia is around the corner from the hotel. Great central location.

The Library Hotel is a great place to stay in New York City. It is centrally located, has a lovely continental breakfast, excellent books to read, and is top drawer in cleanliness. I would highly recommend this hotel.
