Like the artist after which it is named, Da Vinci Hotel is a work of art. As you enter the lobby, you can feel the warmth and charm of the atmosphere, from the dark woodwork to the cozy seating area, complete with antique, traditional European design. In the tradition of Europe's fine, boutique hotels, Da Vinci Hotel offers discreet, uncompromising service and comfort in the heart of New York's busy Midtown. In fact, it's like a home away from home! Da Vinci Hotel, located on Manhattan's West side, is within walking distance of the famous boutiques, department stores, theaters and art galleries. The newly renovated Da Vinci Hotel offers a welcome retreat to both discriminating business travelers and visitors to the cultural center of New York.
Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Great Place to Stay in New York Kyle, Erie, PA, 2007-02-27 There is a great Hookah Bar just a short walk away on East 60th street in the 300's. Very authentic, a little pricy but a great atmosphere and very friendly to westerns. Bring cash..the ATM in there is expensive to use.I was just looking for a place to sleep with a great location. When we arrived at the hotel I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's lobby and how nice it was. When we got into our room we found that the bathroom door had no handle on it. I went to the desk and the clerk personally walked upstairs with me to check it out and promptly stated that this simply would not do and immediately put us in a different room along with an upgrade. I was very impressed. This hotel is clean, but there is nothing too fancy about it aside from the lobby and the fabulous bathroom in every room. If you are looking for simply a clean place to stay reasonably in NYC you can't beat it. There is inexpensive parking right accross the street. The location is great it is right off Broadway you can pretty much see Times Square from teh corner. It is within walking distance of all that NYC has to offer in the Manhattan area. It is also very close to the Lincoln Tunnel so you dont have to drive too much through the city, which can be a hazard if your not used to it. Overall I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for an excellent and inexpensive hotel option in NYC. Score 1 out of 5 Horrible Place JUstice Ira, West Palm Beach, FL, 2007-02-01 We were very disappointed in our visit. The room was small. The toilet seat was cracked. The sink was stiffed. The furniture was old and all scratched up. We stayed two hours. Great location, accessible to all the theatres. When in NY I don't spend much time in a hotel room so having a decent place to sleep is all I care about. If you want a fancy schmancy room with all the bells and whistles than this place is not for you. The only thing I would have to say anything about is that the check in was very late. 3pm... We had a wedding to go to and had just enough time to get ready. Also the walls are pretty thin and in the morning we could hear everyone in the hall ways... Other than that, it was a great place to stay, and very very reasonable for being in the heart of New York City. I would defintely stay there again. Score 5 out of 5 Very Friendly Roxanne, Philadelphia, PA, 2006-08-25 There is a restaurant right down stairs in the hotel, you don't have to go out the buildingThe DaVinic Hotel is very small, but very comfortable, the room was small with two double beds, dresser with TV on top,Closet with fridge in bottom, and a table. Bathroom was a very nice size. The hotel is right in the middle of the theater district. Pleny of shopping and dining. A nice walk to Penn Station. Score 4 out of 5 Location, location, location! Anonymous, 2006-08-23 Broadway, the wax museum, 5th Ave & lots of restaurants. The room itself was clean & neat. However, the toilet bowl could have used a good cleaning, as well as some maintenance, it overflowed twice, I guess I should have obeyed the sign on the wall & not put toilet paper in it. The location was great, very close to 42nd St, and Broadway. Lots of fun things to do and see, and all in walking distance. I would stay again, as long as the room/bathroom is clean and in proper working order. Score 4 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-06-28 Theaters, Central park.. and 5th Ave.. GREAT LOCATION!the staff was friendly, and helpful - and our room was very clean. I would stay there again, however Score 2 out of 5 cheap place to stay Anonymous, Boston, MA, 2005-08-24 Times Square is a short walk from the hotel. So is Central Park. There are subway stops close by, so it's no problem going anywhere. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay that is near times square. This place is fine. If you'd like some place clean, with flexible check ins and the professionalism of a hotel don't stay here. The room was dirty. We weren't able to check in early and they do not have a place to store your luggage. They let you keep it out in the lobby where anyone could steal it. They also make you leave your key at the front desk everytime you leave the hotel. Even though the front desk is staffed 24/7 it's an inconvenience. It would be nice to be able to go right to your room, but you have to wait in line, or wait until they get off the phone to get your key. |
