The resturants were close and the doormen sure were helpful regarding where to est for a great inexpensive lunch. For a business perso budget is everything! The Broadway Hotel was extremly inviting as soon as the Doorman met me at the curb from checkin and checked out. The frontdesk personal were as warm and friendly as being in my own hometown. The room was beautiful, cozy, with a view that anyone would enjoy. The location was wondeful.I was close to my business meeting and when that was over there were so many close interesting places to go so very close to the Hotel. I will and have told co-workers and freinds about The Broadway Hotel.I will stay their again very soon! Score 4 out of 5 Great location, clean Anonymous, 2007-02-27 Great location, view and clean. Many shops, dinings, and far more.small, but clean room. great location- right on Broadway. Very friendly staff Score 5 out of 5 Affordable and near transportation Anonymous, Orlando, FL, 2006-11-13 There are several jewelers in the area. This hotel was located right near the subway station that took us to Times Square which was three quick stops away. The hotel staff was very helpful in assisting us with using public transportation, and with helping us find somewhere to eat. While the room decor is a little dated, the large bathroom made up for it. Personally, I would stay at the Broadway Plaza Hotel again. Score 3 out of 5 Ask for a "BIG" room Maureen, Albany, NY, 2006-10-09 Not much in the area that we were interested in. I have stayed in many hotels in NYC and have found restaurants more plentiful in other areas. Our first room was a very tiny corner room. Lots of windows and a great view of the Empire State Building, but no chair(s) or desk as there was no room to put them! Hotel staff was able to provide us with a much bigger room the next night. I am glad I asked! We had a king bed, pull out sofa, desk w/chair, table w/two chairs and a huge bathroom. The showers are a bit on the small side. This room only had one small window with views of backs of buildings and rooftops but it was much quieter and bigger! Bigger IS better!! Not much to do in the surrounding area...shopping, restaurants but we were only there to spend the two nights until we boarded our cruise ship. We would probably stay there again under the same circumstances Score 5 out of 5 very friendly staff Anonymous, 2006-09-20 Nice pizza place next door. O'reily's Irish Pub 3 blocks away.Broadway Plaza was all I had expected. Nice neighborhood and clean comfortable rooms. Staff was very accomodating. Will definitely stay there next visit. Score 5 out of 5 good location Marcia, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-08-20 There's a huge city park just a few blocks from the hotel. Great running trail, tennis courts, and an awesome skyline view.Excellent price for room size. The outside of hotel is not the most attractive but the inside is good, the rooms are clean and a great size. The beds are a little stiff/old. The hotel is centrally located, quiet, and the staff is helpful and friendly. Score 5 out of 5 Superb Value for New York Randell, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-07-07 This hotel was an excellent value. The hotel appeared renovated sometime within the past 12 months (2006). The rooms were clean, and large for NYC. The staff was great. The hotel is centrally located, and convenient to many places in the city. The immediate neighborhood is a warehouse district, busy during the day and quiet at night. If you are familiar with the city the area won't be a problem. If you have only been to NYC once or twice the area may seem worn out. It is completely safe. My room had a great view of the Empire State building about 8 blocks away. My experience has been hotels in NYC are usually a notch below what the same chain is like in the rest of the country. A great value. Score 4 out of 5 Good location for smaller people Anonymous, Charlottesville, VA, 2006-04-05 Hotel staff referred me to a great restaurant within a block, There is also a park and a subway stop within a block.I selected the Broadway Plaza because it was midway between two destinations, and was quite satisfied. It is within easy walking distance of the mid 30's and yet also not too far from Union Square. I never felt unsafe, Both Broadway and 5th Avenue are busy and mosty well-lit streets, and as a single female traveler I did feel comfortable walking to and from the hotel, even at night. The staff was accommodating and friendly, the breakfast abundant and very good, the room was clean and comfortable, and for New York, a pretty good size for the price. My only real complaint is with the tiny little shower. I fit in it, but a larger person (such as my spouse) would have trouble moving his arms in such a small space. There is also no soap dish or anyplace to put shampoo or other shower-items, so one is continually reaching outside the shower to reach things on the sink. Do they like having all that water on the floor?? While I would stay there again if I were by myself, it is not a place where a larger person would be comfortable, unless some of the showers are larger. |
