Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Great location! Anonymous You are in the middle of the theatre district. The Belvedere Hotel is close to heart of midtown NYC. Nestled between 7th and 8th Ave, you are within walking distance of Broadway, Rockefeller Center, and great shops. The hotel is clean, and the staff is friendly and open to helping visitors find the nearest subway stop. The breakfast buffet will keep you full through lunch, but you will need to plan on having dinner out. Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-12-29 Newport on the levy is a wonderful shopping, dining, entertainment center for an excellent get a way weekend on the Ohio River just across the river from CincinnatiScore 5 out of 5 The Belvedere Anonymous, Tampa, FL, 2006-12-20 Right near Times Square, tons of shopping, but all the restaurants are chains. The Belvedere is perfect for a tourist trip to Manhattan - right around the corner from Times Square. The hotel is in good shape, very nice looking with amazing sized rooms (for Manhattan). I had a deluxe double that I split with three others, it was a bit of a tight fit but that's expected. There a lot of storage space in the closet as well as drawers. Very clean, quiet, and exactly what you need. The room was freshened up wonderfully every day. Bellhop and concierge were helpful The kitchenette was a great plus! Not too far away from the uptown trains. Room service and staff was very helpful, not extremely fast, but fine considering the amount of people in the hotel. The price is great with all things considered! I knew there were previous issue brought up with the Belvedere, that the elevators are somewhat of a pain. I didn't have issues checking in, and yeah, the elevators can take a little bit of time, but thats a problem with every hotel in NYC. Score 5 out of 5 Friendly staff Anonymous, Kansas City, MO, 2006-12-19 Very close to Times Square and not a bad walk to Garment district, Macy's or Rockefeller Center - subway access at Broadway. This is the second time I've stayed at the Belvedere - great location - middle of everything so very accessible to whatever you want to see. Only complaint was that the rooms are dark - not enough lighting for more than one to get ready and do makeup - mattresses could be firmer but not bad. Everything was clean, plenty of towels. Friendly staff. I would suggest that they add a mirror in the kitchenette area so that it could be used as a second makeup area or a mirror on the closet door. We had 3 girls trying to get ready and it was a little tough. Also shortage of outlets. As far as location - it is great for the money. Will stay again. Score 5 out of 5 Great location Anonymous, 2006-10-09 Restaurant row is only 2 streets over on 46th st.The Belevedere was what I expected for the price. The elevators were our worst experience but the location and price were well worth the price. Close to time square and theaters. Breakfast buffett not worth the price. Score 5 out of 5 Excellent value Anonymous, Charlotte, NC, 2006-08-03 My daughter and I just returned from a trip to New York and thoroughly enjoyed our accomodations at the Belvedere Hotel. The room was a great size and having a small refrigerator was another plus. We bought a few things at a nearby market and ate breakfast in the room each morning. This saved money and time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a two block walk to Times Square and close to all the shows and many restaurants. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again next time I travel to New York. Score 2 out of 5 excellent location Stephanie, West Palm Beach, FL, 2006-08-01 Very close to Time Square and all the Broadway theatres.Upon arrival, the staff was friendly and the check-in was easy. Our hotel room however was not set up for 4 guests but rather 2, although the doorman who brought up our luggage called immediately to let them know. A wet rag was left in the room on the desk, I am assuming, from housekeeping when we arrived also. The room size was nice, but the airconditioner ONLY cooled off the room about 2 feet in front of it and that was it. This made for very uncomfortable sleeping conditions. It leaked water all over the windowsill and carpet in front of it. I am not sure if it was because of the VERY HOT weather in NYC at the time of our visit. Also when we were set to leave we called for help with our luggage which never arrived and we had to bring down our own luggage, which wouldnt be so bad except for the fact that it is VERY hard to get an elevator in the Belvedere. We were fortunate to only have been placed on the 3rd floor and we ended up using the stairs for the majority of our trip. The location was excellent and our doorman very nice and accomodating when we needed a taxi. Score 5 out of 5 great location Charles, Tallahassee, FL, 2006-07-20 Close enough to Broadway to walk to shows without being right in the middle of the actionThe Belvedere Hotel is a convenient location to Broadway and Times Square without being right in the middle of the action. Its located on a side street that was quiet and allowed easy access to the subway system. We will definitely stay again when we make a return visit. |
