Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Great location, extremely helpful and accommodating staff Anonymous, 2007-03-14 A bonus for me was that it was just a couple blocks away from a very large Whole Foods. The Affinia Manhattan is centrally located, within walking distance of everything that I needed. The room was larger than I expected; handy having a small kitchen. The staff really go out of their way to ensure that you are comfortable and will always follow up on any requests. Score 5 out of 5 Great location Anonymous, Houston, TX, 2007-03-14 Less than a 10 minute walk to broadway shows.Perfect place to stay to see the sites. I will definitely stay at Affinia again. Score 5 out of 5 Very Friendly, Extremely Clean, Great Value Kelly, 2007-03-14 The staff accomodated my request for two queen beds in the queen studio suite (it should have been one queen bed). The beds were super comfortable and the pillow menu was excellent. Very clean and perfect location (Madison Square Gardens is across the street and Penn Station is a block away). Would definitely stay there again!!! Score 1 out of 5 very friendly and location was great SUSAN, Pittsburgh, PA, 2007-03-13 Hotel is a short walk to Time Square. Madison Square Garden is right across the street. There are lots of places to eat and shop within walking distance.Check in was very quick and prepared. Room was clean and well maintained. Score 5 out of 5 convenient location Diane, 2007-03-12 The Affinia Manhattan was a very comfortable, convenient and affordable overnight stay in NYC. I needed a hotel in the vicinity of the Jacob Javitz convention center and also wanted to be able to walk to some good restaurants. This hotel served both needs. The staff was friendly and efficient, the rooms clean and comfortable and we found a great italian restaurant about five blocks south on 7th avenue. It is actually a great location and easy to get to by car. The shower in the studio suite was a bit small but the room was spacious.I would definitely consider using the affinia manhattan again. Score 5 out of 5 Great location, great price Anonymous, 2007-03-11 Perfect location for any activity at Madison Square Garden, or the garment district. The Affinia Manhattan was just perfect for our trip to NYC for the Big East basketball tournament. It's just across the street from the Garden, and so the location couldn't have been better. The room was huge, the beds very comfortable, and had good work space. The negatives are, the bathrooms is very small, and there is considerable street noise. (even on the 19th floor) We turned both of the heating units off, after being too warm the first night. The airconditioner is a window unit, and as we didn't use it (it was covered for winter) it wasn't possible to know how well it cooled the room. We will definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends. There are several good restaurnats nearby, and the hotel restaurant was fine for breakfast, which is the only meal we ate there. Score 5 out of 5 Amazing Location Anonymous, Indianapolis, IN, 2007-03-06 Don't be scared of the subway--Penn Station is the gateway to the best of New York CityI booked my stay based on the location--just across the street from Madison Square Garden (and thus, Penn Station--perfect access via the subway to just about anywhere in the city) and a few blocks from Times Square. Because of the location, I assumed space would be at a premium, but i was extremely surprised to find a spacious suite with a functional kitchen overlooking 7th Avenue, a comfortable desk chair for getting some work done, and a great mattress. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a central location to access the best of the city. Score 5 out of 5 Terrific Experience Wilifred, 2007-03-05 Times Square (and all the Broadway theatres) is one subway stop away. Midtown location is excellent for easy access to downtown and the theatre district. Across the street from Penn Station with several subway routes. My daughter and I spent a weekend in NYC and our stay at the Affinia helped make it a truly memorable experience. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful, the location is terrific, the beds were comfortable, the room and bathroom sparkled and the lobby was inviting. Our room had a microwave and small fridge as well as plates and silverware. We forgot our camera in the taxi on the way back to the airport, called the concierge before we took off and by the time we arrived home she had located it, got it onto a FedEx flight that same night and I had it back in time for my next trip 2 days later. Amazing service -- we're looking forward to our next stay at the Affinia! Score 5 out of 5 Great Weekend Getaway Anonymous, Newark, NJ, 2007-03-04 I have gone to NYC many times since I live in NJ, and I never noticed this gem of a hotel right across the street from Penn Station. It was wonderful. I stayed in a suite which was like a small apt. The bed was comfotable, the room was well decorated and the staff could not have been nicer. You are next to so many stores, The Garden, all the restaurants you could possibly want. Go and enjoy!! Score 5 out of 5 Multipurpose hotel Anonymous, Dallas, TX, 2007-03-03 Being across from Penn Station allows you many travel connections within NYC and to destinations outside NYC.Excellent location for business traveler and tourist. The kitchenette in the room was very useful to warm up NY hot dogs, pizza, etc. Only the shower in my room seemed a little small. |
