My review of Clarion Hotel At Laguardia Airport

The Clarion Hotel at La Guadia Airport, my bigest complaint was the bed, very uncomfortable,my wife and I both, the mattress was uneven and it felt as if we were rolling towards the middle. It was the second time we stay at this location because of the convenience of the airport and car rental. We have family on the area and we like to get away every now and then.

Very wide selection of entrees.

The Clarion @ LaGuardia was comfortable. The room seemed much larger than most with a desk area and a table and two chairs. There was adequate space for hanging clothes and they provided an armoire for smaller pieces. The location was very good, extremely close to the airport (LGA), and had several nearby restaurants. Overall my stay was comfortable.

The best dining in the area was at the airport kiosks, where we found a small French bakery, with good pastry and coffee.

The Clarion Hotel near LaGuardia has a frequent shuttle bus, but is actually within a five minute walk of the airport. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom small but adequate. However, the carpet in the room and the hallway had been neglected. The room was small as was the closet. The restaurant was a 3 seater bar in the lobby opposite the check-in counter, with a very limited menu. Wearing earplugs was a necessity in order to sleep due to thin walls and proximity to the airport. I called the front desk for information and got a recording, so I walked down instead. The clerks were standing around talking, with no customers in sight. This is not a place I would gladly make a return visit.

The Clarion Hotel at LaGuardia was very convenient to the airport. The staff was very timely and efficient. I did not have to wait long at the airport for the shuttle upon arrival. Depite the early check out the staff arranged to have my luggage held to accommadate my late departure from the airport. I was very pleased with the service. However, continental breakfast was a little on the poor side. There was a lack of variety---fruit and yogurt options were not available, only cereal and pastries.

You can walk up the block right to a cozy restaurant that is both tasteful and inexpensive.

I have stayed at this hotel in the past. It is extremely clean. The hotel staff present themselves in a professional, but friendly manner. It is always a pleasure to stay at this hotel.

As this was the least expensive hotel close to LGA I felt the value should be considered good. Room was quite small, but it was comfortable. Nice touch having wall mounted LCD TV instead of bulky TV taking up space. My only complaint was that hotel forgot I was at the airport and I had to call a second time to get picked up. Service back to airport was very good.

You can jump on the bus across the street from the hotel to get to the subway station.

The hotel was close to the airport without being noisy. They even provided free shuttle to and from. It was a little more complex getting to Manhattan, but the staff were extremely helpful in learning the metro system. We were on the 3rd floor in the back, so it took a bit of a walk to get to and from our room with our baggage. The room was fine - the shower was a little small, but we had all that we needed.
