There is also an express bus to Manhattan and the subway right outside the door!The Anchor is a pleasant place to stay for a trip to NYC. The price is reasonable and continental breakfast is included. The parking garage has many cameras so I felt safe parking my car there and walking to the elevator. The room was a bit small as the king size bed took up most of it! It had a very simple clean bath room with a mirror above the sink, a toilet, a shower and hair dryer. The Anchor provides you with a dorm size fridge, a 2 cup coffee/tea maker with all the coffee/tea you can drink, an ironing board and iron, an alarm clock, a desk with phone, a safe, and a small comfortable couch for viewing the hugh TV. The staff was excellent...ask and you shall receive! I never did find the free breakfast but the room was clean enough though there was no reason to linger in the old and smoke smelling halls Score 4 out of 5 just okay Anonymous, Fort Lauderdale, FL, 2005-08-26 There were a couple of restaurantes within walking distance.I was a bit dissapointed with the fact that the sheets were not changed for the 2nd night in the room. The shower was dirty and not cleaned up. I will not stay there again. The check in was very nice. |
