After a hectic day in this fast-moving city, walking into the warm mahogany and marble lobby of The Kitano New York, with its sense of space and unfussy design, provides instant refreshment and calm. Situated in one of Manhattan's most sought after neighbourhoods, The Kitano New York is sophisticated, secure and elegant, and has recently become an AAA Four Diamond hotel. Great care has been taken to imbue the hotel with the character of a private home ' original artwork, prints, a specially commissioned tapestry and even a Botero sculpture are displayed throughout the hotel. Individually tailored guestrooms and suites ensure the comfort of guests. Personalised, attentive service, geared to both the executive and leisure traveller, are the hallmarks of The Kitano New York.
Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Clean and friendly Anonymous, Columbus, OH, 2006-07-30 The Kitano is just a short walk to the garment district and costume shopping for a dance studio owner. The Kitano, New York, as usual provides travelers with a pleasant, clean stay in a room of exceptional size for New York City. The bathroom was exceptionally nice, but the overall size of the room is what stands out in a city with small rooms. We found the hotel to be within a short walking distance to Broadway (entertainment) and shopping (5th Avenue and Madison). The Kitano made for a very nice trip. Score 4 out of 5 only hotel available Anonymous, 2006-05-21 empire state building, grand central station, central park.considering that this was a last minute purchase of a hotel i can say that it satisfied me just because at this point i was looking for a room to sleep in for the night. overall it is more for buisness men, the rooms are an average size but the beds are tiny and on rollars. the bar is terribly small and the cover is more than an actual club. the location is okay, close to grand central station, empire state building and time square. |
