Taking one of the side roads up the mountain, just a short distance past the residential areas, will lead to some open areas where the setting sun can be easily viewed. There is also a nice little Mexican restaurant down the street from the hotel. The breakfast at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. There was a wide selection of items and everything was fresh. Fresh fruit was available, ripe cantaloup that had been cut up and put into bowls. There was plenty and the staff kept the supply relenished as soon as the tray became empty. There were delicious home made cookies available for the guests on arrival. In addition, the hotel was immaculate. The room was clean and sparkling with seemingly not even one smudge on the wall from someone's foot. There were two sinks, one in the bathroom, where the door could be shut separately, with a nice long counter area with nothing on it. The other sink was in a separate vanity area. Score 4 out of 5 friendly yet had serious problems Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-07-07 a gas station with a small mini martthe room was comfortable and quiet. The spa however was lukewarm without any appreciable pressure in jets(?)and very difficult to find, finally forcing us to circle around the outside of the hotel in an unsavory neighborhood. Spa and pool did allow smoking(yech) which ran us off immediately. |
