GOOD BUSINESS & RECREATIONAL AMENITIES

THE BUSINESS CONFERNECE ROOMS AND SERVICE TO THOSE ROOMS WAS VERY GOOD. THE RESTAURANTS WERE EXCELLENT. WE STAYED IN THE COURTYARD (A SEPERATE BUILDING FROM THE CASINO) AND FOUND THE ROOMS IN NEED OF UPDATING, PAINTING AND REPAIRING. I WOULD DEFINITELY COME AGAIN BUT TRY TO GET A ROOM IN THE CASINO ITSELF IN THE HOPE OF HAVING A MORE MODERN ROOM.

Good value for the room, bad food

Our room was spacious and clean. The room was noisy being on the corner unit and was facing the freeway but we were still able to sleep. The buffet that we had been to many times while living in the area was this time terrible. The food was not hot, the service was very slow even though the dining room wasn't busy. I was dissapointed.

Great place to stay

Downtown Sparks has a cute old town section just across the street from the hotel.

John Ascuagas Nugget has every thing to make your stay a good experience. The rooms felt large and were nicely decorated. Everything was clean and comfortable. The hotel has a little something for everyone to do.....pool, spa, arcade, fitness facility, casino, good restuarants, shopping, etc. The double queen beds plus recliner was a nice extra. The seperate full closet was convenient. One point against-no fan in the bathroom.

The employees were great, but I found the room damp and the heater didn't work properly. We were either too cold or too hot. The beds were clean, but rather hard. The shower head leaked while taking a bath. We decided to leave 2 days early.

Will need to take a cab to everywhere and the cost runs about about 30 dollars

There was not a coffe pot in the room and the hotel did not offer information on playing the casino games. if i had more knowledge on more games i would have spend more money in the casino. it would also have been nice to have a shuttle that would take individuals to the other parts of reno, rather than taking a cab to and from.
