Other than the costs of the upgrade it was an OK place to stay, however, I won't stay there again. A walk across the Paradise Ave. pedestrian overpass takes you to the MGM Las Vegas monorail for transit to all the popular spots on the Las Vegas strip. The hotel is a bit short on amenities, but if you're looking for just a clean place to sleep on comfortable beds, the Tropicana is a good pick. Score 4 out of 5 a very nice stay charee, Milwaukee, WI, 2007-03-13 the night club and comedy club were in walking distancemy stay at the tropicana was very nice we were located on the strip so we didnt have to travel far to get places the hotel staff were very nice the hotel was nice as well iwould recommend this bike to a friend for sure. Score 1 out of 5 Dumpy Hotel Anonymous, 2007-03-12 The Tropicana was very disappointing. The upkeep was horrible! The lobby as well as the rooms were dumpy and old. Also, if you want to go swimming outside, take note that the pool is seasonal and only open March through August. The location is pretty good. I was able to escape to the MGM since it was right across the strip. I went to the MGM for dining, gambling, and use of the pool. I would not recommend the Tropicana. Score 4 out of 5 Convenient Location John, San Francisco, CA, 2007-03-12 The hotel and casino are a close walk to all the strip activities. The location to the strip was good. We could catch the tram easy and the taxies showed up regular. The pool was nice. The section of the hotel we stayed in was a pain to get to, because you had to go thru the casino and promotion area to get to the elevators which were tucked out of the way. |
