Score 5 out of 5 Surprizingly Nice for the Price Chris, Portland, OR, 2006-05-25 Everything is close! Find the back of the Flamingo for the best access to the strip. This place was a steal for someone like me: I'm 27, stayed with my buddy. He had pull out couch with own TV in living room, I had the bedroom with king bed and TV. It's a 4-5 minute walk down the street to the rear entrance of the Flamingo. Thru the flamingo and BOOM - There's the strip (and smack dab in the middle of it). Next to Paris, Balleys, Ceasars, Bellagio... The place itself is actually a bunch of timeshares, and they were well up-kept inside. Staff was availalbe at all hours for check-in (we arrived at 2 in the morning), and everyone was very friendly. They also have a ping-pong table. and they served us contenential breakfast one morning :) Score 4 out of 5 Great for family stay Anonymous, 2006-05-24 This resort in nearly on the strip so eveything is walking distance. The resort is goof for family stay. Consider the following: a suite with a room, tv lounge and full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave ! This is much better option in my opinion than staying in a hotel room with none of above mentioned facilities. The resort property is well maintained and kept. This obviously has no casinos or other facilities like staying in bigger hotels. But it's even better, you stay in a home like environment, cook your own food and when you want to go out to casinos or dining, you can walk to the Venetian or other huge resorts/hotels nearby. The only problem I had was with location of my suite. It was against some constrution site, so lots of machinery noises at 6:00 a.m. Other than that, I was happy there and could have stayed more. Score 5 out of 5 Home Away From Home ! Christopher, 2006-05-24 This location is great. It's a one block walk to the back door of Harrah's and the Imperial Palace right in the center of the strip. My wife an I were extremely satisfied with this hotel. The staff was great. The room was like a full, well furnished one bedroom apartment. I've paid twice as much for other rooms in places like Reno and Tahoe and got half as much in return. Score 2 out of 5 Very helpful hotel staff tracey, Richmond, VA, 2006-05-23 Every casino is in walking distance and the bus runs 24 hourThe Summer Bay Resort's lobby is nicely decorated and well kept but the room that I stayed in was not cleaned properly. The resort also had a cock roach problem. I addressed this issue with a staff person and it took three days before the dead insect was removed from my room. I was not satisified. Also, we were pressured by sales people to purchase a timeshare through RCI. It was our anniversary and we did not come to Las Vegas to be pressured to purchase anything. Score 4 out of 5 Close to Strip & Comfortable! Tony, 2006-05-22 3 Hotel/Casinos are only a three-minute walk away. The food was incredibly great at Harrahs! It was a great value, espceially for the money. The suites were like one bedroom apartments, so this ia great place to stay if you need a little "space." The location was awesome, only a short 3-to-4 minutes walk to Harrah's, the Imperial, and the Flamingo. The property is located about mid-strip, so we walked to almost everything. The monorail also picks up right behind the resort, which is great! The rooms were clean and well-maintained. Check out was fast. Our only complaint with our stay was that the front desk personnel could not tell us where the nearest hosptial was located. We had to look in the phone book and make arrangements ourselves for a friend that got food poisoining from a meal (from another hotel.) All things considered, I'd recommend this resort to my friends. Score 5 out of 5 Spacous quiet amidst chaos Howard, 2006-05-14 Short walk to two major casinosHotel staff went out of way to welcome us and help with solving problems beyond the facility. Accommodations were excellent. Very quiet and comfortable. Unlike standard hotel accommodations, room suitable for long term stay with kitchen and dinning area. One block off strip it was ideally located and provided a quiet respite in the midst of chaos. Score 5 out of 5 Perfect place to stay roberto, 2006-05-13 All the maps didn't show me the exact place I was going to be.But I was really there one block from the strip(throughout the Imperial Palace garage)The only thing that I was dissapointed is that installatiom had free breakfast and that only happens on Mondays. But everyhing else was perfect. This place doesn't have the big prices that the ones that are on the strip but really is so short from the strip(this is not shown in the map) that walking through the parking of the Imperial Palace you are in the strip. They take you to the distances places with shuttle buses (very good attention from all drivers)taking you to buy groceries, or to the down town or others distance places. This is a free service from this resort.I recommend this resort to anyone that would like to go go to Las Vegas and doesn't have that great amount of money to spend. Score 1 out of 5 A deceptive disaster Anonymous, 2006-04-16 The place is VERY run down and the room was basically falling apart. The toilet ran all night, the fridge was too loud to sleep, and the "sleeper sofa" is unbearable. The rooms have AC window units . . . need a say more? I awoke in the morning to find a gigantic cockroach on his back in front of my bed. To top it off, the floor of the tiny shower is giving way and actually cut my foot. Your "neighbors" in the other units are 8 to a room "gang-bangers" who hover in front of their rooms and in parking lot and just glare at you. Car alarms went off all night long . . . If you're looking to save money, this isn't the place. "Being close to the strip" is useless because to walk anywhere you have to try and navigate a very dangerous and confusing mess of parking garages and casino employee entrances. This location is NOT family friendly no matter how they try to bill themselves as being so. A resort . . . this is NOT. Score 1 out of 5 Don't stay here Anonymous, 2005-07-25 Didn't get the nonsmoking, king bed room requested. When asked for a room change, the new room was on the corner of a busy intersection with the monorail overhead. The room smelled of smoke, my feet stuck to the floor in the bathroom and kitchen. Parking is in an alley, one of the buildings had broken windows and garbage surrounding it. |
