Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Very Clean Anonymous, Seattle, WA, 2007-03-14 The Golden Nugget has the cleanest rooms and casinos in the downtown location. The staff was very accomadating and pleasent. The swimming pool area had a wounderful atmosphire. The only thing that was of disappiontment was there was no bargin type cafe for late night snacks and breakfast. All the dinning facilities were on the expensive side although the food was very good. Score 5 out of 5 very friendly staff very clean place Robert, 2007-03-14 there is shopping, nightlife, and dining all with in a short walk from the hotel on freemont street. there nare also other casinos with in walking distance that are very nice.the room was comfortable. I liked the king size bed was also very comfortable. the only thing missing was a refrigerator in the room. other then that it was graet. Score 5 out of 5 Review Lorraine, Omaha, NE, 2007-03-14 Four Queens is a nice place to gamble with a $2.00 Black Jack table.Score 5 out of 5 Awesome Pool! Anonymous, Minneapolis, MN, 2007-03-13 Walk directly out to the Fremont Street Experience! The renovations to this hotel are spectacular!! The pool is great! People were very friendly! Definitely worth staying at if you like downtown better than the strip! Score 5 out of 5 nice stopover gordon, Cleveland, OH, 2007-03-13 freemont street was awsomethis hotel was very clean and well kept and the services were excellent Score 5 out of 5 My review of Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino Charles, 2007-03-12 The Golden Nugget is off the Strip, but you can get there easily by car in a few minutes. Traffic is heavy and you may wish to use the Deuce, which is a double-decker bus you can ride all day for $5.00. Once there, you can tour the Casinos and/or attend shows and exhibits of all types.I was not expecting the grandeur and splendor I encountered at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. Advertised as a 100-million renovation (still on-going), you can tell a great deal of thought and money was spent to upgrade the rooms and facilites. While I did not have time to visit all the restaurants, the Breakfast Buffet was fresh, tasty and plentiful. The Cafe had good variety, larger portions than I needed and good quality food. Service was pretty good. The bed was very comfortable, but the room could have had more light fixtures. While it was adequate for dressing and lounging, I found myself going near the window to read the hotel directory or Las Vegas Magazine. Score 5 out of 5 surprisingly nice Anonymous, Portland, OR, 2007-03-12 Closer than most big hotels to Vegas Speedway for the Nascar event. The Nugget was surprisingly nicer than we expected. Though it wasn't in the heart of the strip, the quality made up for it. It competes with some of the other big name hotels in Vegas. Score 5 out of 5 Very Friendly Anonymous, Columbus, OH, 2007-03-11 Shopping is along Freemont Street. The light display on Freemont street starts at 9 pm every night and goes every hour until 3 am. Definitely a must see.The Golden Nugget if by far the best hotel to stay in downtown Las Vegas. The dining choices are great and the staff is all very nice. Score 5 out of 5 Wonderful Experience Robert, Buffalo, NY, 2007-03-10 The restaurants within the Hotel were great. The food was good and we didn't have to travel at all to eat.The Hotel was very comfortable and definetly clean. All the amenities were close to us. The Hotel staff were friendly and they took care of all our needs as best as they could. On a scale of 1-10. with 10 being satisfied. I would rate it at 10. We will be back.
