Bugsy Siegel's desert dream, The Flamingo, has anchored the Las Vegas Strip since they started rolling dice in 1946. This self-contained casino and resort offers everything an adventurous vacationer could want ? including a Wildlife Habitat and a 15-acre Caribbean-style water playground. Set on the famous "Four Corners" of Las Vegas Blvd. and Flamingo Road, this hotel combines heart-pounding Las Vegas excitement with hospitality and service that's second to none.
Guests of the Flamingo are treated to the ultimate self-contained resort experience. Fifteen acres of Caribbean-style foliage is the backdrop for everything from an extravagant Wildlife Habitat to four separate pools, with cascading waterfalls, for swimming and sunbathing. With pool cabanas and lagoon loungers for rental, amazing casinos, tennis courts, spa & fitness center, the Alexandra Salon, and the incredible Cascata golf course, Flamingo offers plenty for everyone. Cascata Golf, created for and owned by Harrah's Entertainment, features mountains, waterfalls, incredible views, and challenging holes in one of the finest designs in the world. Just 30 minutes from the Strip, Cascata is available only to those staying at Harrah's Vegas properties - including the Flamingo. The Flamingo Showroom is thrilled to be hosting Toni Braxton's dazzling live production show, "Toni Braxton: Revealed - Her Life, Her Music" for the first time anywhere. "Revealed" takes audiences through a musical and visual journey that showcases Braxton's recording career, family, and personal voyage, and includes the sultry singer performing a diverse set list, from her most memorable ballads, like "Unbreak My Heart" and "Breathe Again," to seductive, energetic numbers like "Please," "Trippin" and "Spanish Guitar." The sexy, high-energy production features nine dancers and intricate choreography combining a variety of styles. O'Sheas Casino, operated by and adjacent to the Flamingo, now hosts the first and only tattoo shop on the Strip! Vince Neil Ink offers some of the nation's top tattoo artists in four tattoo rooms - including a VIP room, and a windowed room for passersby to enjoy your inking - as well as exclusive Vince Neil and Motley Crue merchandise, and the Chopper from the Crue's "Girls, Girls, Girls" video on display. Score 1 out of 5 This Definitely Should Stay in Vegas! Betsy, 2007-03-13 Our requirements weren't difficult - just a nonsmoking room with two beds. After hunting for about 15 minutes, the clerk found us a nonsmoking room. (It wasn't until later we found out the term nonsmoking must have meant that no one was smoking in it at the time.) When we got to the room, after passing through a dark, dingy and dirty labyrinth, we were to find: 1. no coffee maker 2. no bars of soap, 3. mold in the shower, 4. pubic hairs in the shower, 5. a shower head that would only produce a trickle of water if I talked REAL nice to it for a long, long time, 6. an iron that didn't work, and 7. extra pillows in the closet that reeked of smoke. If I had paid half as much as I did for this room, it still wouldn't have been worth the money. This is, by far, the worst accomodation I ever had in Las Vegas. NEVER will I stay there again or recommend the Flamingo to anyone ever going there in the future! Score 4 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2007-03-12 No review provided by user Score 5 out of 5 Center Strip Edward, San Jose, CA, 2007-03-12 All the major casinos are a long walk away. With the Flamingo being one of the least expensive of the hotel/casinos in the center of the strip, it is a fairly easy choice for my annual trek to Vegas. All the major casinos are within walking or monorail distance. Accomodations are comfortable at this newly renovated property. Score 5 out of 5 Best location and pool for the buck Anonymous, 2007-03-11 The Flamingo continues to be a high quality place to stay--very clean and comfortable rooms. It is centrally located to all other places on the strip and has a fantastic pool--really makes you feel like you're on a tropical vacation. Score 5 out of 5 Great location Barbara, Buffalo, NY, 2007-03-11 The nightlife and entertainment is as far as you want it to be. There are all kinds of shows everywhere at most of the hotels and casinos nearby or a short walk away. The Flamingo Hotel was very accommodating as we had to change our room three times during the first two days of our stay due to a minor complaint from us. For the remainder of our stay we had an excellent view of the Las Vegas strip below from our room. The location of the hotel was centrally located for most of our daily activities which was wonderful. Food was great here as well. Score 2 out of 5 My review of Flamingo Las Vegas Anonymous, New York, NY, 2007-03-04 Cross the street to Ceasars Palace... really cool inside. The Good: The Flamingo Las Vegas was in a great location... right in the center of the strip. The pool area was really cool. I wish it had been warm enough to swim. Also all of the staff seemed really nice. The Bad: Most of the hotel seemed old, the rooms were totally generic, the ceilings where really low (my boyfriend is 65 and barely cleared the sprinklers). It seemed like it would have been worth the extra cost to get the newer GO rooms. The gym (health Spa) was $20 a day per person for a mediocre gym. When we arrived (@ 1:00 am) our room hadnt been cleaned. Luckily there was a really nice maintenance man walking by who got us a new room a few doors down and had our new keys brought up to us. The casino was by far the most depressing, dingy place on the strip. Overall: I was excited for an old Vegas feel and was totally let down. There are much nicer hotels for less money; I will never stay there again. |
