Most recent user reviewsScore 1 out of 5 Review Benjamin, Brainerd, MN The couch had a big rip in it, most of the handles for the drawers were missing, the stove is from the 50's, the refrigerator dripped water and kept me awake, the water pressure was so low in the shower it would have been faster to use the sink, the cupboard doors were barley on, when I shut the blinds they fell off and I had to take a $15.00 taxi every time I wanted to go the strip. Never again! Score 3 out of 5 Emerald Suites - Tropicana, LAS VEGAS, NV Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA Emerald Suites - Tropicana, LAS VEGAS, NV If youre looking for somewhere for a last minute trip and all the hotels in Las Vegas are already booked and are on a budget. Please dont hesitate to look into Emerald Suites - Tropicana, yes their not the most clean and fine at dinning but they have good service that does everything they can w/what they have. The employees were nice the place well it needs a bit of carpet changing and color change. Score 4 out of 5 Near Strip Gerald, Saskatoon, SK Rent a car.Good value. Inexpensive hotel, and you get what you pay for. Score 4 out of 5 vegas baby Molly, Minneapolis, MN, 2007-03-12 Everything you nedd is a very short drive. The Emerald Suites Tropicana is a clean and friendly hotel but it is located right next to a railroad. Dining and everything else is close by which was convenient. The rooms were very clean with adequate space. Score 1 out of 5 sent a room which was already occupied Anonymous, Ontario, CA, 2007-02-19 las vegas strip and major hotels are close by . it is also away from the strip so you dont face traffic.it was our worst experience. there was a long line for check in . after registration they gave us keys to our roomm. There were no elevators so we climbed three flights with luggage and opened the door and to our astonishment we found a women in the room. She told us that that room was alloted to her the same afternoon. We apologised for intruding and came down three flights with the luggage, stood in the line and informed the front desk about the problem.to our astonishment the person in front of us was also complaining about similar incident at a different floor. Score 2 out of 5 Don't look for extras Joyce, San Diego, CA, 2007-02-19 NoneServices: The internet service was not working. However, there was a sign apologizing for the inconvenience. Check-in: Because the check-in was the pits, my opinion of the hotel was tainted. When we checked in, one of the two reservation clerks was arguing with a customer, who was trying to check-in. The resevation clerk that I had was okay. The line to check-in was out the door (about 7-10 people waiting). Room: The room was okay, but very basic. I was glad that I only stayed one night. Score 4 out of 5 Good for the price Gil, Springfield, IL, 2006-11-15 A close drive to the stripThe hotel/motel is located in a kind of off the beaten path. We checked in at 4am and was given a two bedroom suite, with full kitchen. The room was directly across from the train tracks but we were not bothered by the occassional train going by even tho it was fairly loud at times. the suite was large, clean and felt like an apartment. Other than the train, it was quite. For the price, it was more than I expected and I would stay their again if on a budget. Score 4 out of 5 Godd Hotel for the Money Scott, Minneapolis, MN, 2006-11-11 I had everthing in the area.Great place to stay for the money. I really didn't need a hotel on the strip and pay way to much. GREAT and prompt shuttle service. The only issue I had was the A/C didn't get as cool as I like but the maintance staff fixed that promptly. Also had a full kitchen. Score 1 out of 5 The Human Roach Motel a.k.a Emerald Suites - Tropicana Elton, Oakland, CA, 2006-10-22 Orleans Hotel casino buffet is a very good value and very delicious. From the outside it looked like a nice place to stay. But after checking in and finding my room I noticed the carpet stops were tattered and was actually a safety concer so I had to remove them. There was a overpowering smell of roach spray which I was hoping was for a possible ant problem. A couple hours later I saw the evidence that this motel had a roach problem. We were placed next to the housekeeping room and all night long and early morning we heard carts rolling past our room with the chatter of the housekeepers. The door locks had to be slammed shut orelse the doors wouldn't lock properly. House keeping would open our doors while we were out and not proply close the door so when we returned we noticed our room was unlocked. An actually very scary moment. Score 2 out of 5 Had a bit of trouble Anonymous, 2006-10-01 The room was an up grade, a very nice clean room with extra attractions, but the trains woke us up several times a night and shook the entire room. The hotel was located in an easy in easy out area away from the strip but close enough to get there fast. |
