Tours of Hoover Dam and Lake Mead, Red Rock Canyon can be booked and pick up is at Bally's directly across the street. The Barbary Coast is at the center of the Las Vega strip, making it easy to walk to all the other hotels, casinos, restaurants and attractions. The hotel is reasonably priced, small and managable, but there is no pool. The room was spacious, nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Michael's Restaurant (pricey) served great food with fabulous service in a rich setting. Score 5 out of 5 Great location Anonymous, Cleveland, OH, 2006-10-16 For the value this is a very clean, comfortable hotel. Plus it is in a great location, right in the middle of the strip. I loved the view of the Bellagio fountains from my room. The staff is very helpful and friendly. And I like the small casino atmosphere much more the the bigger conglomerates. Score 5 out of 5 Location was excellent! Gail, Omaha, NE, 2006-09-29 You can catch the tram from the back of the Flamingo next door.Would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms were very clean and updated. It was easy to find your room because the casino was not that big. The location was great! We had breakfast at the hotel every morning and it was every bit as good a value for your dollar as the hotel! Score 4 out of 5 Great location, decent pricing Anonymous, Baltimore, MD, 2006-09-02 1. Checkout the Bellagio, and Caesar Palace, both very close 2. for a buffet, just cross the street and go to Ballys, great value 3. good bar? go to the V lounge at the Venetian, 10 minutes walk. The barbary coast hotel is probably the cheapest hotel in this part of the city. Its location is perfect, right on the strip, close to the bigger ones like the Caesar and Bellagio, both at a walking distance. the rooms are clean, average size, with a nice big LCD screen. the dining options are poor, the restaurant has few seats and the menu is somewhat limited (however, it's a life saviour at 5 in the morning after a crazy night). Staff is ready to help but not spectacular. The casino is fun and always full. Overall ? well, the cheapest hotel. if your budget is tight, go for it. Score 4 out of 5 Good for the money Michael, Atlanta, GA, 2006-08-19 The Barbary Coast is a good hotel/casino if you want to be right on the heart of the strip, but are not looking for the full resort feel. There is no pool and the dining area looked only ok, but with so much else going on you don't have to feel required to eat there. The staff was friendly, the cleaning was good. the room overall was nice, great big TV, limited channels though. Overall a very good location, and good facility if you're not looking for the full resort experience in Vegas. Score 5 out of 5 Location, Location, Location & Cheap Robert, Harrisburg, PA, 2006-07-06 Monorail. Get the all day pass. Save your feet & legs.If you're going to Vegas and want to stay right in the middle of the Strip stay here. Right across the street from Bally's, Bellagio and Caesar's. Right next to teh Flamingo. Access to the monorail from Bally's & Flamingo. Hotel was clean. Nice small casino. When we go back to Vegas, we'll stay here again. Value for the money = can't be beat. Score 5 out of 5 Review Joseph, Boston, MA, 2006-06-22 Bellagio, Bally's and Paris, Caesar's, Flamingo and Casino Royale all just seconds awayGreat things about this hotel: 1. Location, Location, Location - Center strip 2. 42 plasma TV on wall in every room 3. Walk-in closet, large bathroom 4. Real glasses in bathroom, not plastic junk 5. Hotel size - you can get from your room to the outside in one minute 6. Two great gourmet restaurants Not so great things: 1. If you have a car you can only get in/out via traffic congested Flamingo, valet or self-park. 2. Comps for table players not as generous as other places I've stayed. Best $$ value on the strip! Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, San Antonio, TX, 2006-06-11 The Desert Pasage shops located in between the Aladdin and Bally's casinos are worth the short walk to them. |
