The room was hot at our arrival, the shower was continuously leaking we could not sleep (water dropping) and to our surprise, the toilet was clogged so my husband and I had to go to the public toilet late evening and early in the morning. We reported the problems to the reception and the only answer we got was "we apologize for any inconvenience". The next day my husband and I decided to leave the hotel. Sad but true. The valet personnel was very courteous, however the management team didn't offer superior customer service. The resturant and bar offers great style and energy. Score 4 out of 5 My review of Artisan Hotel and Spa Anonymous, Phoenix, AZ Great business amenities with no casino type disturbance and valet parking. Score 5 out of 5 Off the strip Barry, Washington, DC cabs are available quickly if you want to hit the strip. Strip clubs are close by if your into that. The Artisan Hotel and Spa is not your typical Vegas hotel, which is why people will pick it. Although the location was a bit close to the exit to route 15, you really do not notice it. Once inside you fall into the spell of art everywhere, including on the ceiling. This is a quirky place that works if you don't want the typical Vegas strip hotel. The bar is a great place to have fun and meet all sorts of unusual people. Its a fun place and beats the hell out of the usual stip joints. If you want the usuual stay on the strip, if you want a room named after a famous artist with the art in the room, this is the place. Score 4 out of 5 Leaky Las Vegas Anonymous, Orlando, FL, 2007-03-14 The Artisan Hotel was a great idea and theme for a hotel. But poorly rennovated and maintained. My first room was very dingy and musty, when I returned to my room the first night, a metal box over the show was leaking and rusty, watery substance and the bathroom floor was covered in water. When I caleled the front desk, they quickly agreeded to move me to the fourth floor. The desk clerk explained that the rooms on the third floor were not completely rennovated, apologized and sent a bellman to assist me with moving my things. The fourth floor room was an improvement, but it still felt a little dingy and the carpet in both rooms was lifting and wavy. It was a cool attempt at a great themed boutique hotel, but poorly executed. When we were driving up to the hotel we were a bit skeptical because of where its located. However, once inside, we were pleasently surprised with the lobby, restaurant, and especially the pool area. The art and sculptures were magnificient. And the fountain in the middle of the lobby just made you feel like you were somewhere in Italy..it was great!! When we got to the room we were beating ourselves up..thinking that we should have stayed there for the entire week. The room was absolutely beautiful and best of all it was so interesting to look at. We also liked the fact that it was just a hotel..not a hotel & casino. We love Vegas and all of its lights and energy ..but it was just nice to be able lay your head down in peace at the end of the day!!! Score 2 out of 5 Poor Maintenance Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2007-02-18 It close to the 15 freeway which can get you to the Fashion show Mall in like 10 minutes. The Artisan Hotel looks nice from the outside and but is haunted house from the inside. I understood the Art theme of the hotel however I found some of the art to be offensive, they had statues along the lines of black jockeys which were ridiculous in my opoinion. I had to change rooms three times before I got a decent room. The beds were broke down and the TV armoir were broken. One of the doors to the armoir in the first room fell on top of me. This is by far one of the worst hotels I have ever visited. Boutique Hotel ....yeah right. It has the potential to be a nice hotel but the amenities have not been updated. Our rooms were never cleaned and we never posted a do not disturb sign. No one was ever at the front desk. I had to wait 30 minutes for someone to be located just so I could check out. Thumbs down. Disgusted traveler. |
