Score 5 out of 5 good place to crash Anonymous, Phoenix, AZ, 2006-10-09 It's in the Las Vegas area so there are lots of things to do. also right next door is a small video casino with decent food.the room & hotel were better than average for that price range. the breakfast buffet was good and the staff were very nice & helpful. Score 4 out of 5 Nice hotel but noisey Anonymous, 2006-07-25 Plenty of everything nearby. The hotel was nice and everything but I guess they also book basketball teams and it was full of them. They were fine but a little noisey. Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, Kingsport, TN, 2006-06-24 Hoover DamScore 5 out of 5 Excellent value in an off-strip motel Anonymous, Tucson, AZ, 2006-05-16 The Hawthorn Inn & Suites in Henderson, NV, is a good Las Vegas-area alternative to strip hotel/casinos. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed with interior entrances and the rates are signficantly less than the better hotels on the strip. The complimentary breakfast is very good - WAY better than average. All-in-all this is a very good value. Score 4 out of 5 Business Trip to Henderson Richard, 2006-05-12 Actually, there is very little near this hotel within walking distance. The area surrounding this hotel needs more development, The nearest Hotel/casino with good food is the Fiesta---5 minute drive. The room was clean and the beds were confortable. Only real problem was with a couple on the floor above my room; they were "bouncing" on the floor every night from 11pm to 2-3am for the entire 5 day stay. My stay at the Hawthorn Inn was for business and I had to get up a 7am every day; my sleep was not to good. Hotel has no restaurant. Breakfast is in the lobby with pre-cooked eggs, hash-browns and sausage or bacon and dry cerials. Coffee was good. Nearest restaurant is a smoke filled casino; food was adequate, service was very slow. Hotel also has an indoor hot-tub and swimming pool---very nice. Score 5 out of 5 pet friendly WILLIAM, 2006-05-10 1. 15 minuts away from the stripe in veges 2. 30 minuts from hoover dam very interresting to see 3. 20 minutes from poorboys fish restaurant and the food was great 4. there where restaurants across the streetvery comfortable and pet friendly was not far from the strip that was great continental breakfast Score 2 out of 5 NOT A GOOD VALUE KAREN, Las Vegas, NV, 2006-04-16 THERE WAS A WAL-MART NOT TOO FAR AWAY, HOWEVER WE DROVE DOWN TO THE GALARIA MALL FOR SHOPPING WE DON'T HAVE IN LAKE HAVASU. THERE IS A CASINO ADJACENT TO THE HOTEL, BUT THAT'S NOT REALLY MY THING; HOWEVER NICE FOR SOME PEOPLE.MY DAUGHTER SUGGESTED I PAY THE EXTRA $30.OO TO GET A BETTER HOTEL, BUT IT SURPRISED ME. IT WAS RELATIVELY CLEAN, HOWEVER, THERE WAS AN EMPTY PIZZA BOX IN THE HALL A COUPLE DOORS DOWN FROM OUT ROOM, THIS WAS THERE FROM AT LEAST 3:30PM OR SO UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING, AND WHEN WE WENT TO PUT SOME WATER BOTTLES IN THE FRIDGE FOUND A COUPLE OF PIECES OF PIZZA ON A PLATE. I CALLED THE FRONT DESK AND WAS TOLD TO PLEASE JUST THROW THEM IN THE TRASH, WHICH I DID - THE NEXT DAY. CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT THE ROOM WOULD/COULD HAVE SMELLED LIKE WITH THAT PIZZA IN THE TRASH ALL NIGHT! I HAVE ALSO SPENT LESS MONEY AND GOTTEN A BETTER BREAKFAST FARE AND PRESENTATION. Score 3 out of 5 Good Potential, But ... Derrick, Washington, DC, 2005-09-27 HAVE HAD SEVERAL MEDIUM QUALITY EXPERIENCES AT THIS PROPERTY. HAS ALL THE FEATURES NEEDED TO BE A GREAT STOP, BUT HAD PROBLEMS MAKING THE INTERNET WORK TWICE -- AND MY COMPUTER CONNECTS SUCCESSFULLY AT TWO OTHER LOCATIONS OUTSIDE MY OFFICE EVERY WEEK ON AVERAGE. DESK WAS NOT HELPFUL AND NO ALTERNATIVES TO IN-ROOM, WIRED ACCESS -- NO ACCESS IN LOBBY, FOR EXAMPLE. ALSO BE PREPARED TO STRING A CORD ACROSS THE ROOM FOR YOUR COMPUTER -- BOTH PLUGS NEAR THE DESK ARE IN USE FO LAMPS AND THE MODEM. |
