*** For the first time, The Monte Carlo Resort and Casino has been awarded the prestigious AAA Four Diamond award. The award recognizes the quality of both the amenities and service at the property ***
From elegant decor reminiscent of the famous Monaco playground to top-name entertainment, the Monte Carlo Resort & Casino offers visitors a taste of everything that is Las Vegas. Since opening in 1996, the $344 million Monte Carlo Resort & Casino has proved a popular destination for travelers from all over the world. Perhaps it is the fine restaurants or the gorgeous pool and luxurious spa. Whatever the reason, travelers are coming to the mega-resort time and time again to experience its magic. Part of the magic is world-renowned Master Magician Lance Burton. Burton, along with his cast of 60 doves, a few ducks and Elvis the parakeet, amazes audiences with sleight-of-hand tricks and grand illusions such as his signature flying white Corvette. Burton performs Wednesday through Friday at 7pm. Also a favorite spot at the Monte Carlo is Blackstone's Steak House. The restaurant features a number of delicious entrees, including Vineyard Escargot, Half-Roasted Duck, Surf & Turf, and Broiled Australian Lobster Tails. The Monte Carlo's offerings do not stop with Blackstone's Steak House. The Market City Caffe (Italian Restaurant), Dragon Noodle Company & Sushi Bar (Chinese), Andre's French Restaurant, the Buffet and the Cafe also offer a wide variety of choices for the hungry guest. The elegance and style of the Monte Carlo transcends to the 3,002 guest rooms, including 259 suites. The deluxe rooms are tastefully decorated with brass fixtures, cherry furniture and offer spectacular views of the Las Vegas Strip or the Monte Carlo pool area. For those looking for additional in-room amenities and living space the Monte Carlo offers the exquisite Monaco Suites and Spa Suites. The suites feature various added options such as king beds, full bath with spa, wet bar, Italian marble bathrooms, wet saunas, Jacuzzi tubs, remote control lighting and window coverings, a special armoire featuring a complete music and video system and sweeping views of the Las Vegas Strip or the surrounding mountains. Of course, Las Vegas is known as the city for gambling and the Monte Carlo's casino is just part of the reason why. Slots, blackjack, high-limit gaming areas, baccarat, roulette, video poker, a race and sports betting area are offered. Gamers can receive awards based upon slot and table play by joining the Players Club, which earns guests points and comp dollars at all of the Mandalay Bay Resorts - including the Monte Carlo, Mandalay Bay, MGM/Mirage, Luxor, Excalibur and Circus Circus. Finally, guests can enjoy shopping and dining on the Streets of Dreams. This dazzling street offers everything from eyewear and clothing to accessories and cigars. *** Guests must be 21 or older to check in. *** Please note that the pool is closed for the winter and will re-open mid-February. ***
Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Very nice hotel. Anonymous, 2007-03-14 Hotel is located next to several other casinos that have piano bars and roller coasters. The Monte Carlo was a very nice hotel. The rooms were very clean and the staff very helpful. The pool area consisted of a regular pool, wave pool and lazy river. It's location on the Las Vegas strip made visiting other casinos very easy. It is located next to several nice casinos such as MGM abd New York New York. There is construction going on right next door so that can be somewhat noisy and annoying since you have to walk past it to get to the casinos/hotels to the north. The new lazy swimming pool was fun to play in. The hotel offered amenities that you would find in high end hotels. The drawback was that my room was adjoint to another room and I could hear all that was going on in the next room. I guess there is no real privacy after all. My window over looked the conctruction site, but even the noise could hardly be heard a complement to the Monte Carlos construction. Room was very clean, check-in was fast, and the hotel employees were friendly and very helpful. Definitly stay there again.
