Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Great Location Anonymous, 2007-03-14 Must do the buffet at the Bellagio.New York New York hotel in Las Vegas, while located at the south end of the Strip, is still a very good choice of hotels to stay. MGM and Excalibur are just a walkway across (no need to deal with the busy Strip traffic) and the Deuces busline stops right out front, as well as the monorail. You must take the obligatory night time walk down the Strip to see the free shows - fountains at Bellagio, pirates at Treasure Island just to name two. People watching is also a must. The staff at NY NY were always friendly and couerteous - a real treat to encounter after a long day of sightseeing. Score 4 out of 5 Noise! Noise! Noise!!! Anonymous, 2007-03-14 It is on the strip. It was very nice to walk on the street...Somehow we always heard some noise! The fans, the elevator, the traffic.....They need to solve the sound proof problem! Score 5 out of 5 Great Hotel Dawn, Phoenix, AZ, 2007-03-14 The Bar at times square is a must! Dueling painos with the whole bar singing great fun!New York New York was a great 4 star hotel for the price. The staff were great very friendly and our room was clean by 10am all three days! The bars and resturants were also great. Fun atmosphere. We would definently recomend and want to go back. Score 5 out of 5 Everything you need right in motel Ken, Fargo, ND, 2007-03-12 There are plenty of shows within walking distance of the motel, we went to The Comedy Stop at the Tropicana that was hilarious! MGM Grand, Excalibur, The Luxor and Mandalay Bay all have plenty of shows to tickle your fancy. There is a tram that will take you up the strip from MGM Grand to Casinos further North if you don't want to walk.New York New York was a very pleasant place to stay. It had everything you need right in the building, several great restaurants, shows to see, and lots of various shops to visit. There are two Starbucks coffee shops for your caffeine fix. There is a Mexican Restaurant called Gonzales y Gonzales that was excellent! They have the best salsa! Also ESPN Zone was a great experience if you can get in there as it fills up fast, they have 150 TV's of almost any sports event you could think of playing! The lunch we had was also very tasty. The rooms were on the smaller size but were kept very clean by the staff. The bathrooms were well laid out with good water pressure and wonderful showerheads! Although we didn't get a chance to ride the roller coaster that twisted up and down around the motel, there were lots of screams heard throughout the day to testify to the thrill it will provide you. All in all we were very impressed with the stay, and will probably stay there again. Score 5 out of 5 nice location a nice hot spot with dining options Joseph, Philadelphia, PA, 2007-03-12 Blueman group over Cirque de solGood fun and nice casino Score 5 out of 5 It's Las Vegas! Anonymous, Indianapolis, IN, 2007-03-12 NY, NY is at one end of the strip, so it is quite a walk to Treasure Island, Bellagio, etc., but MGM, Excalibur are right there. This hotel has an amazing facade and internal set-up...it is just like New York. The rooms and staff were great. It was easy to get lost in the casino. Breakfast was good, but pricey. Location was great. Score 5 out of 5 Great Food Anonymous, 2007-03-11 The dining options wonderful. The availbility of the Tram to the convention was appreciated as we were there on business. Score 3 out of 5 Ok but not a great value Donald, Phoenix, AZ, 2007-03-10 Also the Thahiti Villiage people were waaaaay too pushy and we found ourselves avoiding them entirely. My advice to the hotel mgmt would be to remove them. I have never had coffee (even Starbucks) that I thought was worth $12/pot. Restraunt prices were steep and the food was average at best. Better values are out there folks. Bottom line, if your going to pay resort prices, stay in a hotel that offers resort level service. Score 5 out of 5 great bar william, Casper, WY, 2007-03-08 tram is greaat for getting aroundsomething for everyone! Score 5 out of 5 visitor friendly Lorraine, Providence, RI, 2007-03-06 The tram for most of the hotels was a short walk away. The room we originally had was occupied and in return, the hotel upgraded our room in exchange for the inconvenience. It was great, the beds were so comfortable. The room was spacious and the bathroom was lovely, clean and with all the conveniences we needed and more. There was plenty of closet room in the armoire and drawers. On the desk was a magazine with all the current show and hotel info we needed. I don't think I ever stayed in a hotel bed that felt just like my own bed. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. We had a late flight and they were very good at keeping our valuables until we were ready to leave in a secured area. I wouldn 't hesitate to stay here again. The location was great and plenty to do and see. |
