Most recent user reviewsScore 2 out of 5 Disruptul..due to construction Tammy, Moncton, NB, 2007-03-14 Should go see Lance Burton at the Monte Carlo. Within walking distance. The hotel room was beautiful, clean and roomy. Went to sleep late (gambling) only to be woken up by construction crew and truck backing up. Heard room doors opening and closing, even heard planes going by...just seemed loud. Casino was beautiful, plenty of games to choose from. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Score 5 out of 5 Very comfortable hotel Anonymous, 2007-03-14 The breakfast buffet downstairs is amazing! I only stopped eating because I had to. :)The Luxor was very comfortable and I enjoy the location of the hotel. The staff was very helpful and made my stay even more comforting. I had everything I needed inside the hotel, which includes gambling, food, entertainment, and shopping. I would definately stay there again. Score 5 out of 5 quiet & non-congested terri, 2007-03-12 Getting to see more on the strip is just a ride away. You can walk and experience many casinos and attractions and just on the other side of the street is a monorail system to get you back or forth. Every establishemt has some form of entertainment or attraction. We like the Luxor because the lobby and casino areas are not congested. There is plenty of space to move around. We arrived early, yet were able to check into our room and given a nice choice. Staff is friendly and accomidating. Rooms are neat, clean and spacious. The Inclinator(elevator) is a blast to ride. There are many places to eat at and the food, selection and service is good. Keep in mind, our stay was on an event weekend and I still have nothing but good to say. Accessibility to other areas of the strip are very easy. Score 5 out of 5 Good stay Anonymous, 2007-03-12 very convenient, next to the Mandalay Bay.Luxor has plenty to offer, for any audience whether young or senior. the staff was very friendly & my stay was pleasant. I recommend it to anyone. Score 2 out of 5 far off the strip, but nice tiffany, Durham/Raleigh, NC, 2007-03-11 we partied at the Wynn which was a long walk or a $10 per way cab ride. It can get pretty costly based on if your parting everyday your there, but it was worth it.it was a very nice hotel but it was so far away from the main attrations and well know hotels. I also felt like it needed remodel. The Luxor needed upgrades for the resturants, shops lobby, etc. I was very MAD that it was an exta fee to use the gym. I felt that it should have been included in the overall fee. It wasn't cheap to stay there and not everyone wants to GAMBLE 24hours out of a day. Gimmie a break! $25 per/person to use an onsite gym is crazy. Score 5 out of 5 family friendly Anonymous, 2007-03-11 The check in at the Luxor was quick, the rooms were clean, and the elevators are a trip. They incline at an angle to follow the shape of the pyramid. However, the two eating establishments in the hotel require previous RSVP so we had to eat elsewhere. Score 2 out of 5 Room needed improvement Anonymous, 2007-03-10 Everything seemed to be a short walk from the hotel. While the hotel itself was very nice. There were no dining options. It was the buffet or nothing. Although you could walk to the hotel next door and have more options. Also the room that we stayed in was old and needed up dating. Old carpet, dusty, water stains on the wall etc.... Score 2 out of 5 My review of Luxor Hotel Joan, Newark, NJ, 2007-03-10 This hotel, Luxor was very dark and appeared to focus only on slot mchine's. There was nothing exceptional to see or do at this hotel. The rooms (3 couples) were all dark and very small. The carpeting was stained, and some of the wall paper was peeling.Even the halls to get to the rooms were dark with stained carpets.. The food........AH yes the food... Buffet EEECCCHHH . The restaurants-poor to fair, but all overpriced for the qualty... NEVER AGAIN AT THE LUXOR Score 2 out of 5 My review of Luxor Hotel Anonymous, Baltimore, MD, 2007-03-10 The Luxor was an okay place to stay. It needs some updating. The room were too dark and beds were worn. The room was a nice size & I liked the large shower. Since we were there in March there was only 1 pool open but the chairs etc. were not cleaned. The Spa was fabulous !! I was surprised that they did not have wireless internet and the internet they did have was an extra charge. There was a good selection of movies to buy but the television reception was poor. Score 3 out of 5 Review wilfredo, Miami, FL, 2007-03-10 No review provided by user |
