Peggy, Burbank, CA The coffe shop was good with fast service in the hotel. The Peppermill nearby is really yummy as well. The accommodations were large and comfortable. The Peppermill nearby has good food. Score 5 out of 5 Great Room Anonymous, Atlanta, GA Other casinos such as Caesars, Parisian, Venetian, etc are close by.The Riviera was a great hotel. It has recently been refurbished so the rooms are up to date and very clean. My room was huge and had lots of closet space. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Vegas. It is across from Circus Circus. It is on the strip and not far from the other casinos. Score 5 out of 5 not bad! frank, San Francisco, CA The in house theatres had classic cheesy shows. I love these kind of old school shows. Tribute acts, magicians, female impersonators, topless showgirls. This is one of the last places to feature these kind of shows. An echo of the faded glamour from the rat pack era.when i checked in, they comped me a biiger room. Nice. The room itself was BIG. Big window with a view. Built in bar with stools. The room was clean. compfy (for me) bed. The steakhouse on the premises was decent (i probably have a much higher standard than most) and the staff was very good. It was winter, so no one was at the pool. The pool could use a little help. Maybe they spruce it up in the summer. I picked this hotel because it was close to the convention center. I walked over everyday. There is is special shortcut through the the parking lot in back. It's a longer walk than first appears, maybe 20-30 minutes. It's a good location overall. You are right there on the strip. To be honest, las vegas is laid out so things are just a little too far to walk compfortably, but you feel a little silly taking a cab or getting back in the car. winter can be a little chilly, and summer quite hot so keep that in mind if you are walking. with grandma and the kids. Score 5 out of 5 Visiting Family & Having Fun mark, Little Rock, AR There are plenty of nice casino's and restauraunt's nearby. My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Riviera very much. All of the staff were very hospitable and enjoyable to be around. The room was very spacious and comfotable. I personally enjoyed the Splash Bar and the poker machines, my wife had a blast on the slot machines. The hotel is located in probably the best part of town and it will be interesting what all of the new construction brings. We look forward to visiting again this summer. Score 5 out of 5 Nice Anonymous, St Louis, MO, 2007-03-13 I've stayed here before and it's always great Score 4 out of 5 Great busines amenties Harold, Pittsburgh, PA, 2007-03-09 there are casinios and other forms of entertainment within walking distance in every direction. The riveria was very comfortable, the rooms were not as big as should have been for a casinio, but was more than adequate. the rooms were very clean and if you stayed in the room late the staff checked back to clean the room. Score 3 out of 5 Review Lisa, Twin Hills, AK, 2007-03-01 No review provided by user Score 1 out of 5 Customer Service Training Michelle, 2007-02-19 other casinosIt was horrible, we tried to ask for help at the 15 minute check in with the bell boy, or at least help getting the baggage person, and immediately he told us we had to wait, it was not his job to help us, nor call anyone? He wasn't doing anything, just standing around the baggage desk. When help arrived he proceeded to talk about us to the baggage person in a rude way. We confronted him, and he yelled at us (we were 3 ladies), we yelled back and talked to the manager. We then checked in, we had issues checking in because their computers were locked then down. When we did get to our rooms. One room was flooded with water and the supervisor told them to lock out the room, but the baggage person left are bags in the room anyway! This was horrible. The other room we had, the guests were still in the hotel refusing to leave. They then gave us another room that we had to wait for to be cleaned. I will never stay there again. We got no compensation, and no apologies. Score 5 out of 5 Great place at a fantastic price! LISA, Pittsburgh, PA, 2007-02-01 Circus Circus is right across the street, and the Stratosphere is a short walk. Hop on a bus and be in downtown to enjoy the Fremont Experience within minutes. It's awesome!!Our stay at the Riviera Hotel and Casino Las Vegas was a great experience. With the low price and the age of the hotel/casino we were not expecting much. We were very pleasantly surprised!! The whole casino was very updated and clean as was our room. Quite comfortable, friendly service throughout the hotel/casino. The staff was great no matter what their department. The players club card reaped great rewards, lots of free stuff, and the food was great!! Wonderful buffets!! Most 24hr diners are not so great, but this one is top notch!! I would recommend the Riviera to anyone, especially if you want to be away from the wall to wall crowds of the north Strip where you can bearly walk on the sidewalks. I've stayed at many casinos in Vegas even ones with 4 stars. I have to say this was my favorite so far. Loved the laid back atmosphere as well as the excitement!! If you haven't seen La Cage, you simply have to!! One of the best shows in Vegas!! I'd love to see it again!! Thanks to the entire staff at the Riviera Hotel & Casino Las Vegas for a wonderful and memorable trip!! |
