THEhotel at Mandalay Bay has forever changed the perception of Las Vegas with its warm earthy tones, rich wood architecture and of course its modern contemporary feel. Featuring 1,117 of the largest standard suite rooms on The Strip, THEhotel at Mandalay Bay is THEdestination for work, and for play.
The 725-square-foot guest suites in THEhotel are a touch above the rest, stylishly outfitted with down comforters, high-thread-count sheets, pillow-top mattresses and 42-inch flat screen TVs. The spacious bathrooms offer luxurious towels, double sinks and plasma televisions. Meanwhile, the sectioned-off sitting rooms are equipped with a 32-inch plasma TV, high-speed wireless Internet connection and a fax/printer/copier. On top of THEhotel is our posh new eatery, MIX, featuring an eclectic menu with sweeping 360 degree views of the Las Vegas Valley. Dine under hand blown glass globes imported from Italy or simply take in a drink while the sun sets in the west. MIX Las Vegas takes the modern feel of THEhotel to spectacular new heights. PLEASE NOTE: The world famous Mandalay Bay Beach is open again! The renovations are nearly complete, and most of the main beach and pool area, lazy river, and newly renovated cabanas are ready for customers. Come and see the addition of 30,000 more sq ft of sand, more upgraded cabanas and bungalows, a poolside casino, and sky bridge connecting the south lagoon pool to the main beach area. The remaining pool areas will be complete April 15, except exclusive Moorea beach, scheduled to open April 30. The total renovation will be completed in June, when the new 3-story beach building will be unveiled, including restaurants, casino, sun villas, and retail space. The 11-acre complex will not only seat over 1,000 more guests, but will also house 97 cabana units for daily rental.
Most recent user reviewsScore 4 out of 5 Luxury on the stripe and quiet Steven, San Diego, CA Mandalay Place shopping mall is attached to the hotel and connects you to the Luxor. It has a nice assortment of boutique shops, as well as a couple of nice restuarant. You can also catch the Tram at Mandalay Bay, which connects you to the Luxor and ExcaliburThis was our first stay at Mandalay Bay. It has very luxurious accommodations, with roomy and comfortable suites. The thing I liked best about it is that the hotel is isolated from the casino floor so you could spend a week in the hotel and not even know there is a casino there is you wanted to avoid it. The staff was professional and courteous. Unfortunately there was water leaking from the ceiling. Despite these hiccups, I would stay at THE Hotel again Score 4 out of 5 Poor housekeeping Anonymous On my first day, I returned to the hotel at around 7:30, just wanting to take a shower and go to bed. The shower was clogged, and in minutes, overflowed. I stopped my shower short, and called the front desk. Offered to send engineering at that time. I was too tired and already in bed, so I asked that they do that the next day, during my absence from the room most of the day. The next day I came back at about 7:00pm, to take a shower and go to dinner. The shower was still clogged. At 7:15pm I called. At 8:00pm I was still waiting. In the meantime I spoke to the front desk manager. She just put $100 credit to my account to be spent either on room service or THE Caf, not any other restaurant in the hotel. I told her I was checking out the next day, and did not have time to use the credit, but she refused to do anything else. At 8:15 engineering came, and about 10 minutes later he pulled out hair and black guck from the shower, and the bathroom floor, shower, rugs and some towels were black as well. The stench was unbearable. At this point I left the room. I went to the front desk to request that housekeeping clean the room, and went to have dinner by myself ( I already missed my planned dinner), without taking a shower. When I came back, the bathroom was cleaned and the shower fixed, two nights too late. This is a fine hotel, and I would love to come back, but the way this situation was handled was poor and unprofessional. Score 5 out of 5 Great rooms & Relaxing Anonymous, 2007-03-14 broad range of choice for meals and coffee - a Starbucks always within easy reachThis is a terrific, high quality property. The only major complaint I have is 90% of the outdoor pool & beach area was closed for construction. The sole pool area open was a very far walk (even in Las Vegas terms), was noisy and crowded. Steak and eggs and was very reasonably priced. The Hotel Mandalay Bay was a great place to stay and would recommend it to everyone. It was very clean and the staff very hospitable. The room was large with 1 1/2 baths which made it very convienient when sharing the room. Room sevice was on par with the time of arrival. The staff was very knowledgable and answered all my questions. I would definatly like to stay their again. Score 5 out of 5 Awesome Vegas Hotel Anonymous, Dallas, TX, 2006-12-10 TheHotel offers awesome dining experiences from casual to elegant. All very good!!The room at TheHotel was very nice. The atmosphere for a Vegas hotel is very calm. It is a nice alternative to all the hustle and bustle of the normal Vegas experience. You can be in on the action, but retreat to peace and quiet. We loved it and will definitely stay at TheHotel again. Score 5 out of 5 Review Anonymous, 2006-12-10 Gaming, diningTHEhotel is unique as it lacks any busy gaming activity, but is conveniently a 100 step walk to the huge Mandalay floor. The lobby is classy and relaxing. The SPA is incredible. Perhaps due to the lack of gaming in the place, the top floor bar is quite something. Bring your own water/beverages or you will pay big time! Score 5 out of 5 Beautiful and wonderful Lisa, Boston, MA, 2006-11-20 Great breakfasts at The Cafe and buffets at the Mandalay Bay hotelWe loved this hotel and recommend it to everyone. Wish we could have stayed longer. Score 4 out of 5 Modern and Comfy Michelle, 2006-11-19 A little mall is within walking distance. Only thing I liked was the toy store.Rooms are modern. Love the spacious bathrooms and I love to watch T.V in the tub. The decor is unique, modern, but yet very comfortable. The rooms are clean, beds and pillows are heavenly. The hallways are always freezing cold. I think they do that to try to filter out the rooms that are for smokers. I don't recommend their Bathhouse. Facility seemed small and cramped. I definitely recommend the spa at Mandalay Bay. Spacious, comfortable and a superb steam room. Check in process was slow, so when it was time to check out I decided to do the express check out and put my keys in and envelope in the box by the elevators instead of standing in line again. Their selection TV channels kinda suck. I was very disappointed though when I found out I don't have the option of ordering pay per view from my room. Room service is slow. It took 45 minutes to get a BLT sandwich, but the portion size was huge and for like 2 people. Overall The Hotel satisfies my comfort level. Score 5 out of 5 Excellent Location Anonymous, Philadelphia, PA, 2006-11-19 The Cafe was an excellent choice for a quick snack or a light meal. The Hotel at Mandalay Bay is an exceptional facility. The room itself was spacious and well-appointed. Nothing was lacking with the amenities. Service was excellent. The room was also VERY quiet. Never heard any noise from adjacent rooms, hallway, etc. |
