Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Geat staff Tom, 2007-03-12 The check-in staff were very helpful and friendly, they gave us two upgraded rooms. The Bellhop service and the Valet service were both great. Score 5 out of 5 Elegant Casino Christine, Cleveland, OH, 2007-03-12 Take the tram express to the Excaliber if you're going to the other casinos farther up. For a great view & to experience the size of the casinos go up in Paris' Eiffel Tower - wait for the Belagio's fountain to go off - it's a different experience from 50 stories up.This was one of the more elegant casinos on the strip. The casino area had huge tray ceilings which seemed to reduce the smoke in the air where it was irritating in other casinos without high ceilings. The restaurants were very pricey for the amount of food we received, however, the food was good. We were told by friends that the pool was fabulous & to make sure we go there. To our disappointment, it was closed for renovations. Score 5 out of 5 GREAT EXPERIENCE Peggy, Indianapolis, IN, 2007-03-11 I have stayed in alot of Hotels in Vegas and my only disapointment in this one is the price of food, there was not any where you could enjoy a intermediate priced meal Score 5 out of 5 Spacious and Relaxing Anonymous, Oakland, CA, 2007-03-11 Dining options are great! The Sunday brunch at Raffles was wonderful. The room was very comfortable and spacious with the two queen beds. The bathroom was spacious. It would have be great to take a bath in the nicely appointed tub but did not have the time! The bathroom counter and sinks were great. Lots of room for your stuff and everyone else's. The hotel is nicely laid out. The casino and the restaurants are great. You don't have to leave the hotel. The pool was closed for renovation when we were there. Too bad, the lazy river looks like it would have been relaxing to float on! Score 5 out of 5 first class hotel Anonymous, 2007-03-09 on the aouth end of the strip, but a monorail ride away from Tropicana and the strip. This was my first stay at Mandalay Bay and I would stay there again. We stayed in one of the remodeled rooms and everything was top notch. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room was clean and comfortable. Even though the hotel was next to the airport, the room was quiet. The cafe had excellent food, the service was OK, a little slow, but the excellent food made up for the service. I would stay at Mandalay Bay again. Score 5 out of 5 Nice place if you aren't driving and have plenty of time Barak, 2007-03-05 The Mandalay Bay is a very impressive, ostentatious facility. But it was a nightmare to get into, because the carport is bigger than some airport's dropoff areas, and it's shard by so many hotels and entrances that nobody working there seems to know what's going on or what to do with new arrivals. We did two orbits of the entire property (which is enormous) before we found one intelligent employee in a bsement parking lot who told us how to check in from a car. The confusion took so long (about 45 minutes from start to finally entering our room) that we missed having dinner at any of the allegedly fine dining options within the resort's enormous perimeter, and were forced to wait 30 minutes for dinner at the thoroughly mediocre 24-hour coffee shop, where the nachos platter is as big as a basketball and the fish tacos are soggy and feature sardine-size slivers of grilled fish. The room was fine (though smaller than I expected 500 sqft to look) and the bathroom was roomy and great -- I guess that's where all the space goes. As for the pools, it was March, and 2 out of 3 were closed for repairs, so we didn't get to try the famous wave pool. Next time I'm in Vegas for a short trip, I'll skip the hullabaloo and stay off the Strip to maximize my time on the ground. Score 5 out of 5 Hotel was awesome!!! Anonymous, 2007-03-04 Go and see O by Cique Du Soliel at the Bellagio. What a great show! I would also reccomend Mystere at Treasure Island. Amazing! My trip to Vegas was great and one of the main reasons is because Mandalay Bay was so accomadating. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and romantic for my boyfriend and I. We loved the casino, clubs, and restaurants within the hotel also. We spent most of out time there. It was also very convient to walk the strip from our hotel or get taxis to other clubs and shows. Great place to stay for any couple on a get away to Vegas. Oh yeah and by the way, room service was great for breakfast. I would highly reccomend.
