Nestled amongst a secluded tree covered compound just 3 short blocks from Santa Fe's Historic Plaza, you will find a refuge like no other in our magical city. Las Palomas embodies the charm, elegance and ambiance which makes Santa Fe such a unique and special place. The historic casitas of Las Palomas built of traditional adobe bricks have been maintained to preserve the authentic feel of Santa Fe and have two distinct styles of Santa Fe architecture, "Territorial" from the Spanish Colonial culture and "Pueblo" from the Native American culture. As you stroll through our private gardens to your very own Casita you will enjoy the meandering brick pathways enhanced by gas lamps, beautiful aspens, and flowers. At every turn, you will find the sculptures and paintings of Native American Artist Doug Coffin adorning walls and courtyards. Enjoy relaxing in our Breakfast & Coffee bar which offers a deluxe continental breakfast each morning and serves espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, teas and hot chocolate throughout the day. For the more ambitious our exercise center features Matrix Fitness equipment for the complete workout.Las Palomas offers studio and one bedroom Casitas each decorated with custom leather and wood furnishings with their own style and flair of bold colors, local artwork and hand-woven rugs. All Casitas offer fireplaces, king beds, kitchens, robes, microwave ovens, coffee makers, hairdryers, irons & boards, high-speed internet and complimentary deluxe continental breakfast. Our one bedroom Casitas also offer a separate living room with queen size sleeper sofas. We look forward to hosting you as you relax and hide away in the secluded side of historic Santa Fe.
Most recent user reviewsScore 3 out of 5 Review Ronald, 2007-02-26 No review provided by user Score 2 out of 5 Not in winter Robert, West Palm Beach, FL, 2007-02-03 I'm sure that if it weren't for the extremely cold weather in Santa Fe, the rooms would have been nice. The rooms were cold upon arrival. After waiting 90 minutes, the baseboard electric heat and gas stove had not warmed the rooms up enough to even remove our coats. I asked to be moved to another room, but all they could offer was a space heater. If the hotel would have warmed up the rooms prior to our arrival, we might have stayed. As it is, we checked out 90 minutes after checking in and went to another nearby hotel. Score 4 out of 5 Friendly staff Anonymous, 2006-10-04 A short walk to the plaza. However, I would not suggest walking this at night. The Hotel feels as though it is located in an alley and not on a well traveled road.Although the staff was quite friendly, I felt that overall the hotel ws not worth the price paid. The neighborhood felt somewhat uncomfortable, the room was quite small and the breakfast is comparable to a continental breakfast. Score 3 out of 5 Convenient Barbara, 2006-09-27 Stay was pleasant except for terrible bed and pillows. Need new ones.. Score 3 out of 5 Just OK, room-office inconvenient Anonymous, San Francisco, CA, 2006-09-17 Ample space in room, handicap comfortable. Some Rooms one block from office, ice. Parking inadequate; one night came home to no parking left. Location 4 blocks to shops-plaza. No restaurant for full breakfast, served nice cold, mini-breakfast in office-small lobby. Sum; Ok but not great. Score 5 out of 5 A perfect small hotel Anonymous, Los Angeles, CA, 2006-07-17 Outstanding restaurants are located nearby, as well as an amazing assortment of shopping opportunities. This hotel is on a side street about 4 blocks from the Plaza, very quiet and yet close to the center of town. The rooms are very comfortable, with gas fireplaces, microwave, refrigerator. The room was small, but perfect for two. The bed linens were very good and we enjoyed the comforter and plush pillows. The lobby is warm and accommodating, with a very pleasant breakfast room. We had a wide variety of breakfast foods to choose from: waffles, yogurt, bagels, muffins, several kind of juices, fruit, jams........ The waffles are made to order. There is a large tree in the dining area which adds to the unique nature of the hotel. The high speed computer is available in a quiet area of the lobby, along with numerous CDs, tapes, and DVDs. I will definitely stay here on my next visit to Santa Fe.
