Most recent user reviewsScore 5 out of 5 Basic, clean hotel in great location Anonymous, 2007-03-04 You can get a great breakfast - without the decor - at Whole Foods Market. They have fresh coffee and bread as well as other warm breakfast items. The Lodge at Santa Fe is a great choice for someone that wants to check out the old parts of downtown Santa Fe, Bandelier National Park and towns to the north. Located on N. St. Francis Dr., it allows you to just head north to the Opera, Badelier, Chimayo, Los Alamos or the Jemez Moutains... or choose from several roads to go downtown... easy to get in and around town from this location. Check-in was simple and the staff was fairly friendly. You can take a shuttle into town, but they don't run it on a regular basis which makes it less attractive. The Queen/King rooms are great, lots of storage space, clean and so were the bathrooms. We got more than we were expecting for the price and would go back in the future. Some people may find the rooms to be too dark due to the carpet and furniture colors, but one can always open the shades and the place livens up. Score 4 out of 5 Needs more dining room help Valerie, Albany, NY, 2006-08-20 There was a famous Falmenco dancer in the eveningsThe location is great - only 1 mile from downtown Sante Fe and close to Opera. There is a shuttle to take you to town but during Indian Festival weekend there was much confusion about this. We had to wait a long time to be served in the dining room for dinner, not because it was crowded, it was not - but because there were only a few waiters. Food was on cold side when received. wonderful view and could be a gold mine with better management. Nice quiet location. Pool looked nice. Hot Tub was broken. Help at front desk was not very knowledgeable. Score 4 out of 5 Very convenient and pleasant Carol, Chicago, IL, 2006-07-21 The Santa Fe Opera is a wonderful experience and is an easy drive from the hotel. The Santa Fe Lodge was comfortable and offered an excellent location for seeing the opera and events and museums in downtown Santa Fe. The dining room offered a nice view of the mountains and surrounding area, and the dining room staff was very responsive to our needs. It was very quiet in the rooms so we were able to relax thoroughly throughout our stay. Score 5 out of 5 Great for a Get-Away Anonymous, Milwaukee, WI, 2006-03-12 Bring sandles to wear out to the hot tub.The Lodge was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was large and comfortable and the hot tub was very nice. Although the hotel is a mile or more away from the Plaza its not a problem as the hotel provides a shuttle service and I thought it was well worth the minor inconvenience. They have good wireless internet but there is a small charge. |
